This is for you band geeks out there.
Just felt like making a topic about this. We are playing this really cool song for our Christmas concert (at least I think its cool), anyway you can listen to it here..
http://www.jwpepper.com/mp3/2477457.mp3 I'm playing first trumpet in this song, and its a challenging song, considering I'm only a freshman and I've only been playing for one year. Anyway, if you have music that your band is playing, post it here.

What a lovely song that you're going to play! I absolutly think it's fantastic!
I know the Advanced Band that I'll be practicing in soon (I'm a flautist) is going to have a great bunch of very easy songs (just started junior high ) for some joy to the holiday season...just don't know what songs! Good luck with that song! Just practice A LOT, and you'll do GREAT!!!

The fact that you play trumpet makes you a very cool person. I'm second chair but I play the first part on all the songs in my school's symphonic band (the better of the two bands) We just got our Christmas concert and marching band music. Nice song too.

I don't really like that arrangement, we're also playing a variation of carol of the bells, but I don't like that either. They should just keep that song out of band and leave it to the choir.

Eh...well, it's cool for me because my old band sucked. That recording sort of sucks. You can't really hear the brass. We are also playing Seligh Ride (school tradition) and that song kicks so much ass. Especially at the end when the trumpets do the horse neigh.

I played the trumpet since 4th grade, and I just stopped last year. But I must say, that's a nice arrangement. I like it a lot. Infact, I'm in chorus and we're doing an arrangement that includes Carol of the Bells in one of our pieces. Carol of the Bells is one of my favorite Christmas songs.

Oh BTW, the only reason that song is hard is bacause the first trumpets have to play a high A for 12 measures in a row. The song also goes to high B. >.>
