Bitcoin
http://www.theguardian.com/technolog...cryptocurrency
womp womp womp this is why timing the market is a bad idea, folks. You can't predict the future and so you risk losing money when stuff like this happens. If you happened to have gotten in-and-out with a profit, you got lucky and could have easily lost that money all the same. Of course, if you're planning on holding for the long run, then this doesn't apply as much. Last edited by Reincarnate; 12-18-2013 at 10:39 AM.. |

Re: Bitcoin
This is a perfect example of why capitalism is inherently bad. We need government to step in so that scams like this won't exist anymore. I mean think about it, why would I pay real money for fake money? Gosh sometimes people can be so stupid smh

Re: Bitcoin
Do you really only use physical cash money for all transactions? That is impressive dedication to resist the new century.

Re: Bitcoin
Not to mention bitcoins aren't even a scam. Stock markets go up and down all the time and sometimes they crash. It is your own fault for making the risky investment.

Re: Bitcoin
I wouldn't worry, as you said in the long run the price is going to stabilize at a higher amount. Cryptocurrencies as a whole are still in the infancy stage (more or less) so it's bound to have drops like this when governments try to figure out what to do with it.

Re: Bitcoin
I called my friend who had put $10k or so into bitcoins just to see how he was still faring. I've kind of lived the bitcoin adventure vicariously through him, and as I heard about its value skyrocketing lately I was hoping to hear that he sold since it's kind of a story of his life that risks he takes start out looking great then fall through.
Turns out he was deployed on a destroyer for the past few months and all the news surrounding bitcoin just wracked his nerves since he couldn't do much about it. Fortunately, though, he got into it early enough, so even with this latest drop he's up some ungodly number of percent. --Guido |
