should i get a midi drumpad
i already have the launchpad but i really don't like using it for drumming because no velocity sensitivity and the buttons don't press like a drumpad
i found http://www.amazon.com/Akai-Professio...ref=pd_cp_MI_1 and it looked like something that i would want, and on low enough of a budget to get as a christmas gift is it worth it? or, i found this one too http://www.amazon.com/Akai-Professio...m_cr_pr_sims_t

"Why not?"
Is pretty much my answer to any questions pertaining the purchasing of gear, unless you've already got something that is objectively better. |

Re: should i get a midi drumpad
John, I can't take you seriously with that profile pic.
but i say go for it. I like the simple look of the mpd18 and that's what really attracts me to it. the only reason i'd get the mpd26 is for the samples, and if i were to perform live with it(ha). -disclaimer, i've never actually used, or know anything about launchpads so digest this information with caution.

Re: should i get a midi drumpad
Not a question anyone can answer but yourself.
It's a preference and a price thing. They basically do the same thing, the one that is twice expensive has a little bit more to mess with. There is no magical combination of gear that makes an artist. If you run into situations where you need or wish you had a drum pad, buy one, but if you're buying one strictly because you notice a lot of producers have them, i'd hold onto your cash. |
