Galaxy Angel
Up in the HIZZ, yardtards.
It's the perfect combination of awesome and cute that it results in no less than your head asplode. I recommend both getting the anime (by torrenting or buying the DVDs) and acquiring the manga.

RE: Galaxy Angel
Seen season 1.
4 episodes to go in season 2. I gotta tell you, this is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Every episode features another randomly useless story involving "Lost Technology" that we still have no clue about. Milfuelle is the epitome of a teenage girl. Ranpha is the violent girl that only wants a man. Forte is the gun-loving freak. Mint is the costume-loving candy-eating girl. Vanilla is the really boring religious girl. The pictures don't depict Vanilla right at all. She never smiles (from what I've seen) and even sleeps with her eyes open... ~Squeek |

Oh, right.
THAT episode. JUST KIDDING! JUST KIDDING! DIE OLD MAN DIE. ~Squeek PS - Episode 14 (season 1) was probably one of the greatest episodes of any anime I have ever seen. What a great story. |

RE: Re: RE: Galaxy Angel
Episode 14?
Hmm, let's see, let's see... EDIT: Oh, that episode. Yes, it completely blows my mind that a comedic series such as Galaxy Angel managed to pull off something like that. EDIT 2: I completely forgot about Mr. God. Okay, so Vanilla smiles twice in Season 1. The Mr. God one was the second one - the first one is rather subtle, but it's a nice touch on the episode.

Finished Season 2; still haven't found the episode where Milfuelle acts like a cat as per Kilga's post several months ago.
The superpowers episode is now one of my favorites. ~Squeek |

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Galaxy Angel
Milfeulle does the cat thing in Episode 20 of Season 3, which is why you haven't seen it yet.
Also, I'd like to made an add-on to your breif character descriptions and point out that Milfie being the epitome of a teenage girl does not include her being superficial in the least. The superpowers one made me sad because of what happens to her but the ending with Normad caught me so completely off guard I nearly fell out of my chair from laughing.

The DVDs come in dual-audio format, so you get subtitles or dubbing.
I highly recommend seeing it both ways from the start to see which is better for your tastes. ~Squeek |

You can torrent up to Episode 8 of Season 4 in Japanese with subtitles.
DVDs have been released in America through Episode 6 of Season 2. I wish they'd hurry up and do the next DVD, I want to hear what the English VAs do for Episode 11.

AnimeHaven recently (read: a couple of weeks ago) subbed and released Episodes 9 through 12 of Season 4. While none of it was particularly mind-blowing, It was overall good stuff, so I recommend finding them and downloading them.

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Galaxy Angel
I've also never seen the anime, but I've read Galaxy Angel manga up to volume 4. I know must wait until next January for volume 5.

Let me guess, you read the end of Volume 4 and saw it tell you the next one was going to come out "next January", right?
Kefit got fooled the same way. The reason that's there is because Volume 4 was released last December in Japan, and Volume 5 was slated for release in January 2005, which to them, at the time, was "next January". So you're not waiting until 2006 for the next one. In fact, Volume 5 is supposed to hit the states in early April (I think Kefit said the 4th or 5th).

Well, Broccoli's site states that volume 5 is due out on April 6th, whereas BarnesandNoble.com states that they won't be recieving them until the 20th.
So I don't know when the exact release date is, but we can be pretty sure that it will be in April. |
