Ok....I randomly started liking survival horrors
Yup, rented Fatal Frame II, and I really like it so far.
Seriously creepy. I am going to try Fatal Frame III, and maybe ClockTower III. Anyone know some good ones? |

Resident evil umbrella chronicles XD that one is a good option if you don't know a lot of the RE franchise

Quite electrifying.

Re: Ok....I randomly started liking survival horrors
The Silent Hill series is quite possibly the scariest game series I've ever played.
If you have a Gamecube, play Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, since it actually screws with you. I must be the only person who liked Kuon even a tiny bit. But I guess I just like that kind of horror game (like Fatal Frame and Siren). |

Never played the Second or Third fatal frame, but I did love the original.

Re: Ok....I randomly started liking survival horrors
I was asking for RE4 for Christmas...
Is it rated M ONLY for violence? I am allowed to play HL2, so it would be helpful to know how it compares to that...

I believe it. The first one was hard enough to find. As hard to find as Baulder's Gate.

Re: Ok....I randomly started liking survival horrors
Siren is worth picking up if you can find it.
EDIT: And Clocktower III is fun until you have to fight the monsters in each level. The boss levels are ridiculously difficult. The final boss is almost impossible. I've never finished it.

Re: Ok....I randomly started liking survival horrors
Oh, yeah. Siren is pretty damn hard, too. You typically don't have a weapon, and if you do, they're generally ineffective.

Rented it with a free rental from mycokerewards (yes, I do that, I work at a dollar theater, and there are 10 point codes on large sodas, and no one notices, so I get up to 300 points a night) EDIT: Tried it, really didn't like it. I think it deserves its 29% on rottentomatoes. Last edited by sjoecool1991; 12-11-2007 at 07:57 PM.. |
