Re: Elder Scrolls Online
Is it better than the Beta? Because I didn't really enjoy myself.

Re: Elder Scrolls Online
I'll let someone else answer that. I honestly can't give a proper opinion since I'm not there yet, life has been keeping me really busy. If you're on the edge when it comes to buying the game, I'd say wait to see how ZeniMax (Bethesda) handles user complaints and suggestions. They're justifying the monthly fee by proposing regular content releases. They have yet to prove it.
If you want an unbiased review, I could provide one later. It'll take me some time, since I haven't had much time to play. However, I can say without a doubt that when people claim leveling is slow, they have no idea what they're talking about. Sure, you can't hit endgame within a week when devoting a few hours a day. However, the pre-release isn't even over and one of my guild members already hit Lv. 42. I have high hopes for ESO, given there is finally an MMORPG where you actually have to earn what you brag about (lol GW2, Tera, <insert generic AAA MMORPG here>). That's saying a lot, because for the longest time, I'd talk shit about how bad this game was going to be.

Re: Elder Scrolls Online
well, while you were in beta, how was the pve there? was it instanced dungeons, or open-world dungeons?
is raiding going to be a thing once you hit level cap? |

Re: Elder Scrolls Online
There are some dungeons are are open world, and some that are instanced. I've played far enough to battle the first boss that awards an achievement on kill. This boss required you to think on your feet and devise a plan, and the story leaves you in the fight by yourself. The events that happened at the end of the battle were a little shocking. The potential for story telling seems pretty good.
As for raiding, I have yet to experience it.

Re: Elder Scrolls Online
Yeah, I assume that it's meant for multi-purpose guilds. There is no global trade market like you'd find in most modern MMORPGs. You know, that billboard players visit in order to spend mere pennies on the 100 items required to finish a quest. ESO was built in a way where you need to go through community means to find the items that you're looking for.
Honestly, I kind of miss having to obtain items this way. Global markets are the best way to ruin the value for any items lesser than the top available tier. In the game, you'll notice many 'market guilds' floating around. They gain popularity through their guild stores. When a guild reaches 50 members, the guild store unlocks. This allows members to buy and sell items within the guild.
