believe it or not there's plenty of stuff going on during the short 2 second bursts in vs songs. of course, sometimes they are difficult to hear. other times, song choice is just bad for stepping (ffr more often that sm since freezes are not available)

you're on a keyboard, not a pad. flick your fingers or something. usually, if a file has rolls that fast, there's like jumpstream or something to compensate for the difficulty balance, hence making index still possible. hey, if you're that good already you should be able to figure out something that works.

My only thing about that is rolls would be slightly more friendly. Although at some of the speeds, I guess it wouldn't matter. But at least give them index players a tiny bit more of a chance?

Nothing really for me to embarrass myself about. I already admitted to not being a KB stepper, but hey, I'd rather try and learn to make them properly instead of doing what some of the Simfile DB steppers do (CTRL+R IN STEPMANIA = GOOD CHARTS GAIZ WEEEEE). I never claimed to be a good KB stepper, but I don't suck in general, I work on the other side of the spectrum, the arcade side.
