how can you even know that if the only remake you should have played so far is FFIII XD (and if you don't know it already the differences are the updates in the job system, graphics, less enemies groups but buff in bosses and enemies = equally hard) and you might or might not have even played the original FFIII.

AND also the GBA remakes were made easier on purpose because the reason they were not released in america was because they were too hard. so the GBA remakes were made a bit easier. though i wonder why the the ps1 remakes were exactly the same with a few graphical updates and CG animations. (same for the DS ff3 and aparently the FFIV DS).

and last the FFIV DS remake comes from the japanese FFIV, one of the factors that show this (and even nintendo power and square-enix say this) is that cecil doesn't stard with the dark ability (sucks HP and does damage to enemies) but instead with the ability that sucks HP and boost atk power which was present only in the japanese version (which obviously was harder if you ever got to play a ROM or whatever of it).

point in all this??? 1. lower down your ego, 2. neither you and i or anybody knows if the game will be dubbed down or buffed up, specially because chrono trigger wasn't extremely hard to begin with.

anyway here's a few new screenshots.

I have the PS Ver.

...So Why Do We Need a DS Ver. I Mean Why Won't They Spend Their Time With Chrono Break Instead Of A Game That's Come Out On Multi-Console...Granted Yeah It's Money In Their Pocket, But...I Want The Next Installment...Been Waiting FOR-Fracking-EVER!

the Playstation version wasnt made exactly the same as the SNES version, it was made exactly the same as the japanese version, hence the buffs on the twins with the Twin flare attack, and cecils ability to use dark wave etc etc

i have to spell out things for you???

i was talking about the GBA versions were easier because they wanted younger people to get into the series. (they used the easytype version of the game), and while i was refering to japanese i said i was wondering why they kept the ps1 the same.

and also "Face the facts, FF4 is 3 times harder on SNES than it will ever be on any other console/handheld system" in america the ps1 version is the hardest =P and it will probably be surpassed by the DS version

Bummer. You'd probably make a good one.

Um, they discontinued Chrono Break. Why would they spend time on a game they aren't even making?

Does anyone think the boss battle themes should be switched? I like them both but the first theme is way cooler and should be saved for the later bosses.

I don't own a DS. It'd be a waste for me to shell out enough money for both the game and ds when I already own the snes version that has only a few differences. If I wanted it portable I'd put it on my psp. Since Nintendo didn't just put it on the VC, it looks to me like they're trying to squeeze a bit more out from their cash cow.

But, if they add a harder difficulty than I might buy it for my friend and borrow his ds for a while.

On another note, if you haven't beaten it (much less played it) than a part of your childhood is probably missing.

well there's a few more games that are great for the DS, so i would recommend buying one. i know i'm doing the same thing with the psp (i didn't care for one until crisis core came out, then i started looking for other games that interested me)

Final Fantasy IV, IMO, was the best Final Fantasy created. So I'm going to have to step in here for a minute.

Wrong. If you've read the August 2008 issue of EGM (Not sure about any other game reviewing magazines that might have some info), then you would know what's going to be in it. Here, I'll type out a quote from one of the reviews.

There's another part where the guy talks about difficulty. Let me quote it out, too.

I actually found random encounters to be the most daunting aspect of the game---expect to die a lot once you enter a new dungeon. It's a nice challenge for old-timers, although sometimes the difficulty comes as a side effect of the sluggishness caused by the move to 3D.
Towards the end he explains what they took out for in exchange for what they added.

Plus, getting the most from the Augment system requires stupid, counterintuitive decisions. In other words, they're a sales pitch for the strategy guide, which just reinforces the cynical nature of this release. It's improved---perhaps even definitive---but comes too soon after the last version. Only the game's most die-hard fans won't resent this double dip.
Honestly, I wouldn't care if the game was just a straight port, because I'm a die-hard fan.
