There's nothing wrong in simplicity when it comes to graphic design, though.

I personally have no issue with the top 3; YOSHl's was my favorite by far. I liked Mahjix's entry quite a bit, but I'm wondering if some of the letters being covered was a turn-off.

Either way, there's still other chances to get prizes and whatnot for this event, and you said you had a costume entry, no?

I suppose it makes sense, but there were no hints about things not to do, for example i absolutely think mahjix's entry should have won, and it's a pity it has been turned down just for a small visibility issue.

I did say in the rules that it needed to include flashflashrevolution. I do apologize if that wasn't clear in the sense that it has to be legible. (Seriously, no sarcasm intended. Sometimes people think I'm being mean or sarcastic -_-)

No hard feelings intended. I was just giving my input, cause while this is a mainly for fun contest, it still is an official one. Clearer rules can in the end lead to better submissions

Yeah, I wouldn't have covered the letters up if I would have known it would be my ultimate demise (and I thought google was bad). Better luck next time! Good work everyone! I definitely liked the ones Mollocephalus did.

Cute idea with the fleshflesh revolution. This banner is definitely well done, clean. But again it's one that's not really giving me that Halloween feel. I think a big part of it is the purple background color and the Jack-o-lantern is just very happy looking.

there's not really a whole lot I can do about that now, it's a shame too that probably would have placed in the top. Altho it is another where the text is kinda hard to read.

If you are talking about !!!!'s submission, you are hardly alone. If you look closely, ---sh fl-sh --v--ution are the letters that are sort of visible.

I might participate in the costume contest, I sort of want to place in something, and I can't carve pumpkins for crap so...

I have to agree. I didn't expect I'd like it so much. The others look like shit up there imo. (They're not bad alone, but up there they just look messy)
