Re: Heroes
That's what I thought too. But didn't Venessa (AKA Niki) kill her when she kidnapped Micah? But if it was her, then I guess that would sound reasonable. Then again, I swear I saw Niki (or it could have been Venessa..).

A single punch killed Candice? I highly doubt it. If a nuclear explosion can't kill Nathan, a punch can't kill Candice. |

sry =/ Edit: Just remembered! The kid. The kid in Claire's high school. 1) Nobody else has had duplicate abilities before without having an explanation. Peter has Empathy, Sylar steals them. Nathan is very clearly still alive. Is it possible that they met somehow and he took it in a different way? Or is it just a duplicate ability? Haven't seen Nathan flying, but then again, he doesn't tend to do that. 2) Kid is totally a spy for the organization they're running away from. I'm 90% sure. And what kind of power did Peter use in the crate? Was that orb just the flashlight? And ever since last season I wondered if he knew Niki had Supaaa Strength and took it. Guess they left that open-ended. Last edited by Squeek; 09-25-2007 at 12:54 PM.. |

Great episode to lay the foundation down.
I'm curious to see how the latino girl kills people. I want Zachary Quinto damnit. |

Re: Heroes
Nathan probably tried to save himself from the nuclear explosion. He has proven he can fly pretty fast, he probably flew Peter far enough and made an attempt to escape, but clearly, he failed. Whoever worked on his face did a pretty good job.
Repeated powers is a possibility as far evolution goes, a low one, but still a possibility. ~Tsugomaru

Re: Heroes
That was Nathan's face? I thought that scene was trying to show that he thought Peter was alive but severely disfigured. I guess I'm going to have to pay close attention in that scene when I watch Heroes again this Saturday at 8pm. Of course if someone has a SS or a video showing that scene so I can re-watch it, I would be grateful.

Re: Heroes
I don't think Nathan was disfigured.
The introduction sequence had him bursting onto the Deveaux roof in the snow, looking completely normal. Last edited by Squeek; 09-26-2007 at 12:10 PM.. |

Re: Heroes
Okay, previews are considered spoilers, and a preview is whatever happens after the "To Be Continued..." tag. Just so you guys know.

Re: Heroes
So I just re-watched the Nathan scene. When I look closely, the clean side is definitely him because Nathan's the one with bushy eyebrows. However, the disfigured half is hard to tell. It could be anyone.
EDIT: Can I post a picture of it? I'm not too sure if I can because it might be considered as a "spoiler". ~Tsugomaru

Re: Heroes
I don't believe the orb is a power either. It was probably him using his psychic powers to push the guy back and the flash light was there. It probably wasn't the "burn brighter, not hotter" technique that the other guy used. When he tried it, he didn't cause Parkman, who was standing right next to him, to fly back.

Re: Heroes
Well, turns out you were wrong. And I win, because I'm awesome. Spoiler time for people who DVR'd it~
It seems in the four months we haven't seen Peter, he's learned some new tricks. I always thought he had gotten Niki's power during the finale of the last season, but since he has DL's now, that's pretty much confirmed there. Wonder who else he's met. At least he's finally kept his nuclear habit under control. Oh my god she cut off her toe. She's pulling a Perfect Cell from DBZ here. Almost every part of her body can die outside of some specific brain cells and she'll be fine. In fact, if you were to remove just a small portion of her brain cells and put them on a petri dish, I'm sure you could clone her. That'd be weird. Season 3, anyone? |

Re: Heroes
Haitian*. Turn on closed captions. It'll teach you many, many things.
The Haitian scheme was a setup from Mohinder and Noah (Bennet). They planned on getting the Haitian better without the company knowing. Since Mohinder is the only person in the world who is a known cure for the disease, it would be suspicious to send him out and cure this guy with The Company watching his every move. He had to get into the company first and get the assignment to cure him. Then he faked having the Haitian trick him and escape. This is all part of his plan to help those with abilities, which is all part of a bigger plan to take down the company all together. After all, the Haitian is the best defense against the company's members with abilities. You don't have to take what people say so literally. Nobody understands Maya's ability, but it has something to do with making people bleed from the eyes. Clearly Alejandro's ability can reverse the effects of other people's abilities. I doubt anyone's ability only works on one other person. Though this may just be a yin and yang thing they're trying to do. It was interesting enough to see that he had an ability too. It's also possible that he has Linderman's healing ability, as we've already seen that two people can have the same power. I think they're both wrong. It seemed like he absorbed her ability. If you've ever seen "The Green Mile", you'd have an idea of what I'm thinking about. And oh yeah, I totally called Kensei's immortality. Last edited by Squeek; 10-2-2007 at 03:25 AM.. |

Re: Heroes
Hey, the blue sparks may be from nuclear and psychic powers combined. Who knows, however, I'd hate to think he's acquired a new power like that. I don't know why.
Kensei uses three swords. He's been given three arrows, which could be symbolic for his eventual use of three swords. It's so clear now. I called that one. ~Tsugomaru

Re: Heroes
Hmm, I was wrong. Halfway through the episode so far.
Kensei doesn't have immortality. He has spontaneous regeneration. He doesn't have to die to heal his wounds as the last episode had us believe. That means duplicate abilities are possible. Commercials are too long. |

I think DL died from the gunshot wound he received in the season 1 finale.
