My Hungarian Experience!
Hey guys! As you all know, I am currently studying abroad at Hungary this semester. I have enjoyed every single bit of it so far and I do plan on making a weekly blog about it. (My first blog failed miserably, but rest assured, there will be many interesting stories to mention!)
I am currently here just exploring what it is like around the city of Budapest to get myself comfortable about the workings of the city (metro, streets, environment, etc.). I will be taking a Hungarian language course soon and in less than a month, a bunch of math classes that I am extremely looking forward for (especially analytic number theory!!) I don't know if you all are interested in this, but I would like to update you guys (daily is a bit too excessive) about my experience in Hungary! Either that, or just post some pictures that I have taken at my stay here in this beautiful city. I could just link you to my blog (not made yet), but I guess this will help publicize my study abroad blog. Let me know if you all are interested. In the meanwhile, I will post a few pictures that I took today: Let me know if you all are interested in this! There is just so much to show you all (: PS: Yes I use Instagram and there are some effects, but the original picture doesn't look much different compared to what I am showing now! (: |

Re: My Hungarian Experience!
I thought this was going to be about a certain type of encounter with a Hungarian girl...

Re: My Hungarian Experience!
Cool. I was in Switzerland, Italy, and France visiting family and travel back in late July-early August. I knocked so many things off my bucket list.
Do you have any while you're over there? |

Re: My Hungarian Experience!
My aunt, uncle, and cousins live in Geneva we stayed there for about 3 days. It's beautiful during the Fall.
Their backyard looks at Mont Blanc (Monte Bianco (Italian), meaning "White Mountain"). My family and myself picked a day to go up the mountain by cable car. Two things were scaring me: whether the cables would snap and how my body would react to being up in high altitude since I would be somewhere around 12,000-14,000 in altitude (and I haven't been up that high before). Went all the way to the top and my body responded okay. Off to Italy a 1 1/2 day at a Bed & Breakfast. We also went on a boat ride in Lake Como (Lago di Como in Italian). We went back to my aunt's place for a couple days. No pics here. Off to France (pics here ) After a week, everyone headed home, but my family and myself and my aunt's family went back to Geneva Before heading home for good, we did these things being leaving Europe: Knocked off my bucket list: Go see the Eiffel Tower and get to the top Visit the Nestle Factory Go to Italy Not knocked off my bucket list: Go to a football match Last edited by DotKritic; 01-15-2013 at 02:43 AM.. |
