With what I have to go on so far, I think he is more likely to be a wolf than anyone else. That leaves me with a few options. I can place a vote on him, I can get a phantom, or I can place a vote on some random person whose role I don't have an opinion on. Since card flipping is on in this game, it doesn't make sense to withhold a vote on someone I suspect. If it turns out my suspicion is correct and they are a wolf, hooray for me. If they aren't, well shit that sucks, you can't be right every time. If I make it known that I agree a player looks suspicious and then vote for someone else, what happens if they are a wolf? The next phase you can bet I'll get accused of being a wolf who was trying to protect my partner. So I'm going to spend this game voting for who I think is a wolf, "easy votes" and bandwagons be damned.

Re: TWG CI: Fiction's Birthday Party
Posting from work, what's up? (Also because it's the last day in D1 phase.)
Well, naturally I don't want to get on someone's bad side. But then again, I guess that's impossible in this party. After doing some thinking though. I'm finally going to throw a vote, who would've thunk it!? Vendetta21, sorry my man, I think it's rude eyeing me. That's really creepy and makes me uncomfortable. I'll tell my uncle on you. |

"Anyone wanna smoke some weed?" Said the good guy clown "This cosmic dance of bursting decadence and withheld permissions twists all our arms collectively. But, if sweetness can win - and it can - then I'll still be here tomorrow, to high five you, yesterday, my friend. Peace" Replied Jimmy. Re: TWG CI: Fiction's Birthday Party
This feels kinda stupid of me because I'm still at 4 from insta, but I see no signs of others coalescing on a lynch target who isn't me, and I'll be on a flight near end of phase soooooo
I an the clown. Don't lynch me. |

Re: TWG CI: Fiction's Birthday Party
I think it's fairly reasonable to assume that danceguy is telling the truth. What's great about this is that MY MOM can act as a guard at the expense of the bodyguard's ability - which I doubt he would've used anyway.
This creates an awkward situation for reds: Danceguy may be put in time out effectively making him invulnerable to tonight's wolf kill but the thread of being put in time out might be enough to not even bother, letting danceguy live and giving MY MOM the opportunity to put someone else in time out. Would wolves really try killing danceguy knowing that he could be protected by MY MOM? |

Re: TWG CI: Fiction's Birthday Party
it'd be pretty nuts to assume danceguy is faking it because there haven't been any deaths. Plus trading a wolf for a bodyguard isn't exactly the best trade ever so I doubt we'll actually see a counterclaim.

Re: TWG CI: Fiction's Birthday Party
I don't think it's that farfetched, fiction. Assuming dAnce is a wolf: He was going to get lynched anyway, there's no reason for him to not lie about being the clown. If we keep him alive, either the real clown comes out or the tattle tale uses his ability, dAnce still dies but the wolves gain something from it. If dAnce gets lynched day one anyways, nothing (more) is lost for the wolves.

Re: TWG CI: Fiction's Birthday Party
Things are starting to get interesting now :3
Petey, petey, petey. What shall we do with you? You say that you are the clown, but will anyone arrive to counter that claim? (Yes I am behind lemme catch up and post my reads tonight...)

Re: TWG CI: Fiction's Birthday Party
If there is a counterclaim, who do we believe? My immediate thought is that the first person to claim (dAnce) would be the imposter, but that could easily be taken advantage of. If there is a counterclaim, we can't be sure which claimant is lying unless the tattle tale uses his ability.

Re: TWG CI: Fiction's Birthday Party
what?
so a wolf one day wakes up and says man I'm dying (even though he's four away from insta which could easily become a kitb with a simple vote switch) and says I'm going to fake a role even though nobody has died. Two things are interesting about this: the decision to fake first and not as a counterclaim (counters delegitimize the original, the whole point of faking a role as a wolf if the role you need dead is clearly alive) and the fact that he's willing to trade himself for a bodyguard in a game where it is kind of impossible to determine who will get killed and whether or not that person is worth protecting as a bodyguard (different from a guard given that a bodyguard dies in his target's place). Does that make sense to you? I'd give danceguy credit as a wolf for faking bodyguard since it'd be difficult to fake anything else but I'd also give him credit for coming out as a bodyguard because he may have thought it through - or maybe he didn't and this was an impulsive decision - because out of all roles available the bodyguard is the only disposable role designed to prevent kills. He's disposable for two reasons: 1) he is easily replaceable by the MY MOM. 2) he dies after protecting someone, leaving ZERO information in the thread other than his successful guard (his flip informs us he may have noticed something we didn't in the thread since there's no out-of-thread talking). Given how ridiculous this is you must assume that wolves are looking to trade a normal red for the bodyguard if you're expecting a counterclaim. I'm not expecting a counterclaim because I think danceguy is for real and because a wolf trading a red for a bodyguard is a pretty bad trade. |

Re: TWG CI: Fiction's Birthday Party
it's simple, if dance is lying the real bodyguard should claim now. That's obvious.
but if he's not lying I think the wolves would be better off not coming out pretending dance is lying because, again, a simple red for a bodyguard is a terrible trade. |

Re: TWG CI: Fiction's Birthday Party
no wolf could ever justify trading a red for a bodyguard. THE BODYGUARD IS DISPOSABLE AND WILL PROBABLY NEVER LAND A GUARD.
