Re: New file to test out
Real fast tips for jumpstreams:
1. Start by laying singles where you want the jumps then layer a 16th stream over them. This, in general, leads to more natural patterns than doing it the other way around. 2. Avoid long hidden 8th jacks in your jumpstream. They have their uses but they're almost always incredibly awkward to hit. 3-4 notes in a row is where people start to notice it, so try not to go over that unless there's a specific reason to do so. 3. 1-handed jumps are less likely to be split than 2-handed jumps for spread players. Considering almost every top player plays spread this is important. 4. Because FFR has boos, try to avoid putting too many contrasting one-handed patterns. If you think of each hand as separate columns that are each two arrows wide, try to think of what would make both of these columns fun to play in isolation, because almost always these patterns will be fun when you put it together.

2. I feel stupid. You mentioned that before, but somehow I got the idea that it was GOOD /selffacepalm 3. Can you elaborate a little more? I think I get the basic idea but want a little more detail 4. I had spread in mind for this file, so I'll have to check on that. |
