Default FFR Stopping every 5th second

This is starting to piss me off, when I play, it goes good until I play for 5 seconds and then it stops for like 0.5 second and then it goes good again, and then 5 seconds later it does the same thing. I did this on my last PC too and now on my new 1500$ machine it does the same thing.

What to do?

It's called lag.
Clear cache, restart, play on low quality.

What browser do you use? I use Firefox and I get the same problem...I think I got the same problem with IE as well. I downloaded Opera and it doesn't lag, though the timing seems a bit off so readjusting will take a bit...anyway, give it a shot.

i have this problem occasionally, no matter what browser i use. usually just refreshing the page will fix it for me. i think it could be the internet service itself.

Some people say that playing from the actual flash file helps.

http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/ffrndanotherway.swf

See if that works for you. I don't have your problem, so I can't say if it will.

What other programs/websites are you running concomitantly? I find I get a consistent lag if I have gmail open or my FFR profile with profile chat open, or if I have any programs running in the background. Open task manager and take a look at your CPU usage when you have FFR running. Close unnecessary programs and processes, including AIM, MSN Messenger, etc. It also helps to subscribe so you don't have ads loading all the time.
