Default The Sapphire Dragon & ORMIX - Just The Beginning (PREVIEW)

Well, I think it's been half a year since I decided to make this album as a marker for my progress. I don't expect it to get huge ratings since it's still my beginner work and this was- as I said- made mostly as a marker for my progress.

The album will be up for download (free) on December 27th, or if I feel up to it, December 20th.

As you mentioned to me, once you get a better PC, work on your mixing. (and too a lesser extent mastering).
Sometimes the kicks are too muffled, other times the melodies are really muffled and buried in the mix.

Then work on sound design. You definitely have good ideas and concepts, just sometimes the instrument choice is a bit lacking.

What can I say? Much better than my beginning songs and I believe you have talent, at least more so than I possess. Keep it at!
(I just keep trying (400+ songs / WIPs) and reading upon music theory, mixing etc. to improve while others have a more natural inclination toward music)

Will download, of course, hard to tell from the previews and my skipping but my favorites seem to be: 4,6,7,9

Yeah, that's one of my main objectives even at this moment. I'm working on something that I honestly will be taking way longer than my normal tracks and even the first 30 seconds of the song took 2 hours to make just to sound equal and not one sound overpowering another. I'm starting to understand how to do this more and understanding also what all the more famous producers are going through. It really is an annoying and hard career. Aha.

Instrument choice is lacking because I can't get on the internet to DL samples or plugins. Libraries suck for download speed also so I can't do it here. I'm doing the best I can (not really) with what I have (again, not really).

Thank you for your support. ^^

I have a lot of WIPs that were dropped because I hated the melody. I tend to quit really easily. And to this point, I haven't studied at all whatsoever on music production, sound design and audio engineering. I'm doing this all by ear and with a lot of errors. =_=;; I probably SHOULD study up more.

heh, If you ever just have a melody or something, and don't know what to do with it, bounce it my way and we'll call it a collab.
(aka you do melody notation, i do beats, the bass, pads, fx, mixing and mastering lmfao)

Hardest part for me is building effective (catchy, or that cause a certain emotion) melodies.

PS: Always glad to see new music producers here, this is imo the best forum on ffr.

Sounds like a great idea.
I'd end up doing a basic beat so you could build off it, basic melody, etc then pop it on over to you.

The only hard part for me is playing back an area with a lot of effects and it makes my computer explode (not really). That's the only thing, honestly. Maybe if you can't think of something to build an effective melody, you could send over the project and I could mess around with it, send it back then you could have a better idea on where to fix things around and make it twice as effective as you hoped!
