Re: FFR Suggestions
Can't. There are not only a ton of bots, but a number of advertisers who personally sign up to spam on both the forums and profiles. We're doing what we can to get rid of them as fast as possible, but you can't stop them if they're users signing up manually.

put stricter restrictions on rights for Profiles and the Forums? Like, playing the game and proving you're a human being for example would work. |

mind you, there are a LOT of people who don't play much, don't post, but are quite active on profiles.
a bunch of my ffr friends are like that. you see tons of recent convos between people i've never seen before

Trust me, we're not trying to turn a blind eye to bots, but they're very hard to eliminate without implementing measures that are too restrictive. |

Too bad it doesn't work anymore http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/usermap/map.php I know Justin brought it up at one point, I don't know what the answer was if there was one but is it possible to put this back up?

Re: FFR Suggestions
That would be them testing it most likely. Don't worry, I've got it covered on bringing that up.

Re: FFR Suggestions
Requirements for Slow Motion (Wipeout Pure Xtra) should change since as lot of people lag on multiplayer now and won't be able to attain rank 10 or higher in MP.

Re: FFR Suggestions
This might have been mentioned before, but since I don't see any plans for it being done I'll reiterate it just in case. The top all time daily GTS leader-board should let users see an extended list, like the top 25 or 50 through a link. Perhaps something like this:
Since at this point even 1 bill in a day isn't enough to get a spot in the top 10, it would be nice to see where people fall in the top 25, or even the top 50 all time daily GTS stats. Oh, and of course removing Schweinekaramell from the top 10 whenever possible would be great.

Re: FFR Suggestions
I know this is pretty trivial, but when you're looking at the normal tokens can there be an asterisk to denote which tokens you've already obtained? I know that it's already been done with skill tokens.

Although what I was referring to was the fact that "admin" only has 6.78 years, as opposed to accounts that are 10 years old at this point. I was just a bit conflicted about whether admin was actually the first user, even if it is the first profile in the user id list (ie: u=1).

Re: FFR Suggestions
Were the songs you AAAed in the normal or skill token categories?
If so, AAAs and FCs on those songs don't count towards your stat bars, but scores on certain tokens and skill tokens do count towards your Tier Points. |

Re: FFR Suggestions
Not sure why I received this as an email from FFR. I thought I typed it out years ago because I never recalled my English being this horrendous. Turns out this was a subscription notice that I don't ever recall getting an email from in the past.

Re: FFR Suggestions
I know you can spectate in multiplayer, but what if there is a way to spectate single player? I know this can obviously can be done via streaming, but perhaps an in-game-client-spectate mode where it shows a list of people you can spectate? (If the player allows?)
Also, what about a co-op mode? Very vague idea... but whatever.

Re: FFR Suggestions
OK, so i was just about to vote on somebody's profile when i ran into a bit of a dilemma... i didn't want to give them a thumbs up or a thumbs down. what are we supposed to do in these types of situations? is there no such thing as neutrality when it comes to FFR profiles?
I am proposing a sideways thumb vote. A neutral vote; neither good nor bad. who's with me? |

Re: FFR Suggestions
Psh, just thumbs up em, never hurts to be polite
And besides, it only counts the total number of thumbs anyway, there's no actual thing keeping track of how much people like their profile.

Re: FFR Suggestions
I can't be the only one who has noticed that the Tell v3 and Coactive support tokens are slightly cut off:
We should (just for the sake of aesthetics) replace these token images with this fixed. It didn't take me any time at all to reverse image search and fix this: It's not really all of that groundbreaking of a suggestion, but if it happens that would be great.

Re: FFR Suggestions
Oh, thank you, yeah, that's a good thing to do.
I squished those by a pixel and put a rim on them so they fit even more with all the other tokens. Also, the Jefferson one had no depth, so I did some editing on it to try to make it fit better too. Yay for aesthetics. P.S. When did the Forum Post page switch from displaying the date of the post to the date the thread was created? I'd still like to see post dates; perhaps both could be displayed? Last edited by Silvuh; 12-31-2012 at 10:01 PM.. |
