Those people who view the arrows in relativity to the receptors typically have better reading ability on SM than most, but this skill gets thrown out of the window with FFR's inconsistencies due to frame-based timing.

Just posting to say that Dynamo and AJ's posts are the reason why my and probably most of the other SM players' skill at SM couldn't be fully translated to FFR skill. Not to sound arrogant or anything, but I think there's probably an issue if I couldn't come close to AAA-ing files such as Extratone Pirates and I could AAA it on command on SM.

I usually have to use a speedmod that I could at least read most of the notes half of the screen (which is why I play fullscreen on SM) and since FFR's receptors would be too big if I maximize the window and the window is too small to begin with, it would cause a lot of issues in reading.

I'm basically forced to use a lower speed mod to read things right, but it takes a major hit to my PA because I tend to rush several patterns too much or go too slow because I have no idea how fast it is due to how difficult it is to read files with a lower speed mod/smaller window. There's the lack of chord cohesion as well and frame misplacements, which makes files even worse for us SM players to time since we're so used to "perfect" frames.

Just saying this because it really pisses me off when people kept telling me to do better on a file because I can do it on SM, it just doesn't work that way for most Stepmania players.

D5-D6 feels a little more quiet than before lmfao...

Yeah, I don't understand this. It's a tricky song, but anyone in D5 can AAA it with enough effort. I'm surprised more people haven't bothered.

Then again, I haven't touched my blackflag in days and don't plan to. I'm fine with that :P People in yellow right now are just lazy.

I'll back that up by saying 8-0-0-5 should not be a D5 cutoff on a 67.

You can go in D6 if it's too easy~

I can't fix it and lag seems to enjoy giving me unnecessary slaps to the face. This file is really easy to derp randomly and mindblock the end..

Sorry not everyone in D5 is good at jacks, also sorry that not everyone is mid-high D5, some people are actually having serious trouble with the file.

I'm considered to be REALLY good at jacks and I can't even AAA because I'm mindblocked now.

there is no need to AAA this... only need to mid SDG to be safe. i made it top 8 of D5 in the 6th official with only AAAing one round. so don't try to push yourself with whoring. it only weakens your confidence

Who said there isn't going to be one? We wont release previews too early because there are people with access to the files (judges, difficulty consultants, the people who stepped them). In all fairness we don't want to give people a huge opportunity to practice the files if they happen to be someone with access. We'd hope that no one would do something like that but to be safe previews will never be more then 24 hours before the next round.

btw I don't know who's spreading that I'm not running this anymore but I still am. Last thing I'm finishing up before being done with events completely.

I doubt 7 people will best 2-0-0-0 by midnight, maybe 4
