That aside, yes, a knife as a murder weapon is far more personal and allows for the act to be prolonged. If a person legitimately enjoys the act of killing people, then a gun is a poor choice. I would personally think that bare hands would be a stronger candidate for achieving the personal feeling one might associate with using a knife, but I can still see the merits and usefulness of using such a tool.

it just seems that people read a few words of the post then skip to the next one. It makes me a sad puppy. Do you know how difficult it is for me to write like that? Not at all, to be honest, especially when I'm low on sleeps, but it still disappoints me to see something I considered a masterpiece of sorts to go by completely unnoticed.

Yeah, they made a big deal about how they identified the people from the video and had no doubt they had gotten the guys who did it. I think someone posted a link to an article about it in this thread.

I saw the video a while back. It was certainly the worst thing I had ever seen. I would say the worst part was watching the guy choke on his own blood. I really didn't turn away much, but after I saw the entire thing, I contemplated as to why I had watched it. The thing is, just turning away and acting like it never happened isn't going to being criminals like this to justice. I felt really sad for the guy, to be honest. It's not something I'd want to see again. It's not even on the levels as 2G1C or 1M1J or anything like that...it's plain mutilation.

I'm pretty sure there are hundreds of other murder cases that have been committed in the past that disturb the hell out of me more than this. I've just never heard of someone getting their eyes gouged out, and I don't really want to know what that looks like.

It makes me sick to my stomach just how brutal and sick-minded people are. I really suggest that people find ways to defend themselves so that if he/she is faced with a similar situation, they could at least save themselves or die trying. ESPECIALLY if you're someone who travels out of country often because you NEVER know what kind of sick people there are out there.

I know for a fact that a lot of tourists who go to Mexico get tricked into going into fake taxi's, robbed, and sometimes killed. However, that doesn't mean you're safe in your own country either. It could happen anywhere. And it could happen to anyone, when he/she least expects it.

The guy seemed unable to move, most likely cause he had a head injury before they started taping which they probably caused while kidnapping him or whatever.
Theres no way to defend yourself against someone smashing you in the head out of nowhere, making you unable to move, and taking you to a place to torture.
It's unlikely to happen, but it does happen, and nothing you can really do about it.

About the vid. I certainly don't deny that it is one of the sickest videos I've seen, but it didn't bother me as much as some people like MrRubix. I guess I'm just not really susceptible to this kind of stuff.
Doesn't mean I'm heartless though. I care about my friends and family. But this video wouldn't cause me nightmares or scar me for life.

HOWEVER... I am disgusted by the people who did this though. No one deserves to die like this.

I just read an English translation of the dialogue in the video. While the video was on the site as well -- the text transcript was sufficient in relaying just what occurred. I'm considerably squeamish, truth be told.

I realize that Spitfire. What I'm trying to say is that people should learn self-defense. Honestly, these guys were obviously targeting innocent people who had no confidence or will-power whatsoever to fight back. And it's just common sense to not be alone in places where you can easily get attacked/kidnapped/knocked out.

You never know what will happen, no matter where you are. Even if it's like the most peaceful town in the world to you. I feel bad for this man, but it's kind of his fault for getting taken advantage of and getting killed.

Now that's kinda being harsh on the man.
Even if he knew selfdefense and the attackers didn't have a weapon, the odds were still against him.

Lets put you in his position and see how well you fight back while being bashed in the head, stabbed, etc. Guy was defenseless and couldnt withstand two against one with weapons. You are one ignorant person saying this guy deserved it becuase he didnt fight back.

So apparently you know the guy who got killed? How do you know if he took a class or not? Okay, there were 2 guys, and they were armed with weapons and tools, you expect the guy who got killed to have a switchblade knife with him? So one of the guys could have pinned the man down, then one could have hit them with one of their weapons, and he was probably immobilized. And as Plan said, you're an ignorant person, nobody could fight back in that condition on the floor.

Well First of all there were 3 guys (one was filming and i don't know if he helped before hand but during the torture he was filming and didnt do any action that is why the thread is labeled 2 guys kill man on tape) and he got beat up before hand so defending himself was near impossible. Top that off with torture. harsh.

Nyokou in no way at all is that his fault for getting beat up and killed. The killers only targeted certain types of people. He didn't do anything to provoke them. Thats like you walking down the street and a group of people beating you up and killing you and then saying its your fault for getting killed. Maybe because your a girl or you look a certain way or etc... Is that really your fault? They also killed and tortured cats and dogs so are you saying it the animals faults too?

ShAiOnEi The killers didn't intend on anyone else seeing the video but themselves. Why would you put a video up of yourself killing someone so you could get arrested for it. One of the kids maybe felt guilty and put it up or someone saw it and put it up. I doubt they would put it up by themselves. So watching it isn't what the killers want. Ether way the probably don't care since they are going to jail for life. And you have to accept it. It happened. What you just going to go think it never happened and ignore it? Now I think that's worse.

Also I think some people make fun of things like this to try to feel better about the situation or make it less real then it is. Or some people are just majorly fuked up. If it happens and happens and you retorting is just what they want you to do. So yea..........

Not even Mike Tyson in his prime would of been able to defend himself against these people. They probably just whacked him over the head with something and then started filming.

So Nyokou even if this man or any one learnt self defense it would be TOTALLY irrelevant in this situation.

You don't have to be in a quiet place to get attacked or kidnapped. Things like this can happen at any time. I doubt self defense would've helped much. It's not his fault, and it's wrong to say it is. We don't even know for sure if he tried to fend off his attackers or not. I don't think most of us would've fared better in whatever situation he caught himself in, anyway.
