Re: 2048
It wasn't that bad, that's at least the first time I was careful in what I did with the tile placement.
Every other attempt I just spammed left + up, lol.

Re: 2048
Yeah, I tried it with flashpantss for a few days and got frustrated with it. Essentially we were just spamming left, up, down and right. Took us both a while to get it, me moreso than him.

Re: 2048
Numberwang is the same game as 2048 once you realize that the numbers are meaningless...you have to match like colors. Of course, this does make it difficult to tell just how close you are to your goal.

Re: 2048
I beat normal numberwang first try as well, is there a reason it's so much easier than the normal 2048?

Re: 2048
i felt like doge was easier at first too
I think it's just random chance. If you get unlucky tile spawns in the original game a lot and then play a variant and get lucky, it'll feel a lot easier.

Re: 2048
Numberwang randomly ended and won for me when I played it. I had the equivalent of a 1024 tile and it combined with a 256 out of nowhere, and both tiles had been pressed up against each other for some duration of time prior without combining. Something similar must have happened for most people that posted wins on that version given their scores. On the regular 2048 you'll have a score of at least 20,000 when you win, but winning scores on numberwang are substantially lower.

I got 4096 a couple of times (it's black in 2048!). Has anyone gotten 8192?

Rob did while I was there. I gave up after 4096, that was enough for me. (mm)

Re: 2048
As are the 8 and 16. Less so than 2 and 4, though.
