Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Just like there's one hard judge for each sector, there's also one really lenient one for each sector as well. So all in all, it might work out pretty evenly.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Judge's strictness is always considered for team arrangement, so yeah.
Overall judges could be a bit more strict in ratings though, since +(5/5) is basically the highest rating. (not applied for some strict judges) Possible acceptance criteria this time. (1) 18pts or 3+s (2) [17pts and 2+s] or 3+s |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
I use a /10 rating
1-2= -(-- is pointless and disrespectful) 3-4=? 5-6=+./+?(depending on file vs song potential) 7+=+ So some of those +'s weren't as strong as others

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
bmah: Alright, I'll PM you when I'm done.
jimerax: Sure, doing a few extra files is no problem. EDIT: Done :> Maybe I gave out too few extreme ratings, I dunno. + 5 +. 8 +? 9 ? 2 - 2

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Thanks, you're quick qqwref!
- you might need to fiddle around with the ratings next time - lol do you have headphones/earphones? - I like the details; specificity is great - you're pretty technical - didn't see "fun" as a common descriptor in your notes - only one judge left |

I'm willing to bet that the [++] I gave in my group is different from the other [++]'s.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
I could definitely be significantly more strict about certain things, but I did feel like a lot of the files were in the middle, not good enough to make the queue without changes, but not bad enough to straight up reject.
I have earbuds, but I don't generally turn up the sound all that loud. Why? Quote:
Really? I used that word 9 times (of 26 files). I just didn't often point out when things were *not* fun.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
You say I have difficulty hearing certain things, which is fine if the notes are there, but sometimes I use "I can't hear this note" to mean "as far as I can tell that isn't there". Could just be me, could be an error on the part of the file author. And I'm not sure whether I support stepping something that is hard to hear if it's there at all - I generally prefer for files to go to what I would hear when I play it, even if it means a slight loss of technicality.
Alright, sent.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Got it, thanks. (that was fast again)
Of course, but I'm referring to stuff that I do indeed hear without even headphones on 1.0x rate, so maybe you do need some volume adjustment. |
