I found this place in Sleepywood where you have to jump around, and dodge these glowing balls of light...any backstory?

Doing my best to keep y'all updated.

Patch tonight into tomorrow morning.

New version original area with new weapons and quests and all that jazz. New boss, too, but I doubt if he's anything beyond what Headless Horseman is. I also doubt he'll even be worth fighting.

New world (or as folks erroniously call it, server), even if it's not necessary, it might be a good motivation to rattle some of you folks over to check this stuff out. I think it's gonna be 2x 24 hours a day for the first 3 weeks too.

Area bosses. Basically boss versions of area monsters, such as snail, stump, yeti, etc. Also: quests related to these bosses.

Jump down. Now everyone will be able to drop down from one platform to one below it, not just Magicians. A basic platforming feature that has, for some reason, taken many a year to get implanted.

Oh and they're finally taking out that piece of **** curse filter and replacing it with one that will both block offensive words, while at the same time, not block folks from saying innocent sentences that happen to have curse words hidden within. Presumably, this will be done by changing them to asterisks (e.g., "I wish it were true" would become "I wi** ** were true"). Not exactly the best for readability, but certainly a LOT easier for the one typing. This is also great, because can go back to just cursing outright and not have to try and throw apostrophes and **** in the middle so that my message will go through.

That ****'s power is even more broken than Onyx Apples, yet it's time limit makes it worthless in practical application*.

As a point of reference, I punched some numbers and found my Genesis would jump from ~30k to ~105k. Over 3 times gain.

*unless they're very easy to get in large quantities, in which case, they're just flat out broken then. A team of Mages would be the best single target damage dealers if they had these methinks.

Apparently, the next quest is to go see the Suspicious Man in the desert, but when I click on him, all he does is say the same thing, so obviously I'm missing something. Somebody I met said something about a dog in Orbis, but I have no idea what they're talking about, or if it pertains to what I'm doing...does anybody have an clue what I should do to get farther in Ariant?

Go to Orbis and complete the quests for Moppie. You know, the dog under the Potion store? That's what they were talking about.
