The only case where that is really true is Blooddrunk, since all other files where it allows an advantage (such as TTE) become more difficult in other sections (48th walls/polyrhythms). Other reading: Artistic value I don't see that being much of a problem, unfortunately I can't find the damn words.

In which case, yes, it does make certain files too easy, and it's more than just one or two songs that in your opinion you feel is easier. Regardless, it changes what the simfile artist stepped and meant to be played as. |

Re: FFR Suggestions
I'm confused.
Left and Right scroll still exist, but if he isn't talking about that then what is he referring to?

Re: FFR Suggestions
He's talking about left/right turn mods, which changes the file itself - resulting in preferentially left or right-handed patterns (try it on Stepmania and see for yourself).

Re: FFR Suggestions
left and right turn
Imagine the DDR dance pad, then turn it 90 degrees left or right. That's what the left and right mods do. It alters the feel of the file waaaaay more than merely mirror, that's why they were taken out. Gotta preserve some of what the simfile artist intended the file to feel like, even if you might not agree with it!

Re: FFR Suggestions
How hard would it be to code to allow pictures to be uploaded into the discussion section of the 'social groups' on this site?

Re: FFR Suggestions
Yea, would it be hard to code to where we can upload pictures straight from our computer into discussions? That would make it a lot easier than having to use outside (photobucket) links.

Re: FFR Suggestions
Depends on how familiar the staff is with vB. But it's probably easy, who knows.

Re: FFR Suggestions
Bandwidth? Besides, hosting is more convenient for the forums since you can directly hotlink them into posts with [img][/img] tags. It's also more organized than having to go straight to the bottom of a post.

Why is it easier to use vB's crappy upload system than go to an easyshare site like imageshack or imgur? :\ |

Re: FFR Suggestions
I click 'print screen', paste it into paint, save the file, and then directly upload it, it doesnt take a middle man. Oh well, I guess I'll go check out photobucket again.

Re: FFR Suggestions
imgur you can just drag and drop onto the window whatever image you want, and you don't even need an account.

Re: FFR Suggestions
Wait. I thought all you wanted was to be able to use [img] Tags in the discussion? Is there any way to enable it for the social group discussions?

Re: FFR Suggestions
So far, the best thing we've figured out is just to put a link to a saved replay for the discussions

Re: FFR Suggestions
Was he referring to the lack of BBcode in the discussions or SaxRunner's post on coding something different? |

Re: FFR Suggestions
Both, social groups were designed for text only. There's no options for anything related to them besides enable/disable.
