Re: The Fitness Thread
Your abs are coming in great
My abs are really annoying. Haven't made any progress there in weeks. Legs coming in great; striations everywhere as the days go on, but no progress in lower abs. Hoping to continue to cut for 3 more weeks and then get back to bulking for the summer (might bulk for 6 weeks and then cut for 2 etc to make sure I stay lean).

Weighted ab machine Weighted crunches w/ a dumbbell Hanging leg raises I don't want to waste my time doing abs when they won't do much, but I can definitely give that a try. I think they're pretty much my weakest attribute. Blah :P From today: http://i.imgur.com/4gGy6ZR.jpg MM http://i.imgur.com/33oiVYV.jpg calves http://i.imgur.com/Oqr45e9.jpg legs (hard to get good lighting for this one, webcam likes to wash out the striations.) weigh in average for this week 168.8. Calipers giving me just over 6% BF, BIA gives about 8%. I would lean towards the latter.

Re: The Fitness Thread
Everybody has a different body and train for different reasons. I don't see anything wrong with 3-4 days of weight/strength training and 2 days of conditioning/summer activities. Most performance athletes train nearly all week because sometimes technique and conditioning is more important then mass and raw strength. Just depends on what your doing. If all 5-6 days are weightlifting then yea that's probably not going to be the best thing to do for anything that I can think of really, unless that's just how your body responds best and you've had years to really test it.

Down to 166-167. BIA reading 7% So 2 more weeks of cutting and then I'm going back to the bulk train. Time to put on some more mass 8) Will be training every second day for the summer.

Re: The Fitness Thread
@Jerry I was specifically talking about training 5-6 days. And yeah, a bunch of athletes do that, but theyre also chemically enhanced.

Re: The Fitness Thread
I totally get what your saying, you just said that a little out of context. Especially because from Renevatia's post he even makes it seem like he works his cardio on specific days and wasn't just talking about weight training. You don't have to be chemically enhanced to endure 5-6 days of exercise that aren't all specifically resistance training or whatever. Of course you have to make sure you don't over train your CNS, but it should be apparent to you after enough time of fitness to know when everything is suffering and you need a break. Everybody is different and people train at different intensities as well. I personally only use a 3 days split and throw in anywhere between no conditioning(Usually because school and life gets in the way) to 3 days a week and I am not losing any strength because I separate my days and time my Carbs and make sure I get plenty of Complete protein and stay hydrated. If I were to cut out all my conditioning days and only do my weight training split, I would maybe be a tiny bit bigger but I would barely be stronger if at all and have crap for conditioning and my coordination would suffer because I train mma so I want to keep my flexibility and skills up. To say what I am doing is wrong wouldn't necessarily be right for what I am trying to accomplish. Sadly so many people do juice these days but I believe they get what's coming to them since their body usually fails later in life and they don't last as long as they could have. I believe you can accomplish more from the time you put in then any drug can give you (bodybuilding excluded lol)

Re: The Fitness Thread
Training 6 days a week is fine if you're not going heavy 6 days a week.
Going heavy 6 days a week is not fucking sustainable if you're natty, though, is probably his only point. I've tried it. You cannot physically recover fast enough without dropping the weight and sets, which impedes progress. The only remotely sustainable way of doing this is literally a complete bodypart split where each of the 6 days is a different muscle group, but even then you'll burn out eventually as the weights start going up and could probably get more progress going to the gym far less.

Re: The Fitness Thread
Traps are so tight today it's ridiculous. They'll probably be even worse tomorrow, knowing my body. Leg day today, meaning I won't be able to walk for like 4 days...
