Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament - Divisions 1, 2, & 3 Discussion Thread
Yeah, I've been using 3/1 personally because my speakers introduce slight delay. Looks like changing it to -1/1 fixed it for that song, thanks. Funny though, I did worse this run than on my original offsync sightread lol >.>
Anyway, that was a fun song once you play it in sync, I like it :P

Now, the reason I believe that there were so many AAAs right off the bat is because it's a rather short song. The longer the song, the more chances to screw up. Look at the arrow count. Overall, for this tournament, I just felt 'out of my league' as some would say. But hell, I realize I'm not an easy candidate to place. Even with my decreased ability from switching to spread a while back, I'm now a rather formidable contender. Another reason I'm rather confused is that... well... I was put in d2 with practically the same scores I have now last tournament. Ruins, ect were all there. The only one that was a 'new' d3 score was Brightone AAA and Calling Mars AAA. I just don't get my placement. I thought I did well, but I suppose it takes more than what I did for d3. Overall, I'm just flat out disappointed that I couldn't even make it past round 1. This was supposed to be the 'easy' round. |

I'm so damn frustrated on this round already... I dunno how people are AAAing D2's song so fast. Whatever, 3 clean is enough to go on.

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament - Divisions 1, 2, & 3 Discussion Thread
D1 for this round was more troublesome than I expected to AAA. I kept getting off beat because the beat isn't all that strong.
D2 was a pretty easy AAA I thought. A nice short song with the only tricky bit being the last 8 notes or so. D3's song was great for me except for that bit around combo 450...until that ending jumpstream. Wow, every time so far, I have ~9 goods going into that and 30-50 coming out. I'm going to keep trying at that song, but if I was in D3 I don't think I'd make it out of this round! |

This D2 song was much easier than round 1 for me. Although I have been practicing AAAing 30s for the past week
8-0-0-0 3-1-0-0 0-0-0-0 3 tries

True enough. Still, being outmatched like that sucks on any division.

Nailed the AAA after ~20 tries. (after numerous 2g's, a couple 1-0-0-x's, and three blackflag, including one where I split the last jump in the song >.>)
See you in Round 3, D2!

It feels good to finally get the AAA, as I won't have internet for the foreseeable future in this new apartment I have to move into. I figure I've got 13 days to figure it out. Thank God for week long rounds.
See you soon D3. |

Anyone else feel D1 song is offsync a tiny bit? I was playing it normal and it didn't seem right... put the offset on -1 which seemed a little better, maybe even -2 would work. But it just.. Doesn't seem on beat for me on regular

Yeah, it seemed to be one frame or so off when I tried it.

Guys... Guys... Guys. I got this. Might as well give me that D1 Badge right now. (Note: Posted this to the other thread, deleted it then found the D1 thread)

The almighty triple-digit-average!
XD edit: For ya'll in D3, apparently Blue Marine was like 3 frames offsync, sooooooo much easier to play now :O

I know I caaaaan. The issue is more just i skilldrop in tournies. I'll do bad on most songs in general, than once I'm out, SDG or AAA bullshit files. lol. Just how I roll.

Mine seems fine. I've gotten down to 4-0-0-0 no problem. Are you playing the mirror? I can't even FC it on the mirror, but the regular one seems alright.

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament - Divisions 1, 2, & 3 Discussion Thread
Actually, it does seem a bit offsync to me. And it's three freakin' minutes. I'm so gonna die this round; no way I can pay attention to a song for that long.
