Re: Rock Band. More Awesome.
Its bandwide.
AKA, if you have "break-neck speed" on, you better hope whomever you are playing with can read whatever difficulty they are at at x2 speed.

Re: Rock Band. More Awesome.
I know I'll do better with breakneck speed on drums because I can;t read some parts on normal speed.

Re: Rock Band. More Awesome.
can i get reverse breakneck for vocals
I have trouble reading the words and trying to measure pitch and keep it right. The only way I can even work it is to know the lyrics and just watch the pitch. Or I can just hum through if I don't know the lyrics. But that's gay.

Re: Rock Band. More Awesome.
I think the basis of hyperspeed isnt so much to spread out notes, but rather increase reaction time. How far the notes are spread doesnt mean jack if you dont have the reflexes needed to hit them. Kind of like screencutting. It shortens the time you have to react, therefore increasing reaction time, making it seem like you are seeing the notes at a quicker pace.
Even though you legitimately ARE seeing them at a quicker pace with hyperspeed, its still the same notes at the same tempo, technically. EDIT: @Afro: Have you tried static? Its still measured out the same way, word for word, but the arrow itself actually scrolls at a slower pace. Only time it ever really seems to be too fast is during talkies.

Re: Rock Band. More Awesome.
I find Breakneck Speed to be cheating in a way. It spreads the notes further apart making it easier to read, which is a disadvantage to those who can't read such a high speed, as it goes by way too fast. I would have considered making another speed, a little slower. I feel it goes too fast, but then again I have no problem reading any pattern in any song in Rock Band 2 so far without it on.

Oh, I read your post and my brain went "In place of" instead of "in conjunction with."
My apologies.

Re: Rock Band. More Awesome.
It's not cheating at all.
You're still playing the exact same thing. Just because Harmonix decided to send the notes your way two seconds in advance doesn't mean that that's the universally right way to do it - it's personal preference.

Re: Rock Band. More Awesome.
That's what my parents call him. Bob dylan. My dad's sister has 2 kids with him. Kind of nasty considering the age difference.

Well, I am not lying. I don't particularly like him either. I have only met him once.
My aunt is awesome though. |
