LOL Luis is just running away with it at this point... Very surprised Do I Smile was chosen here lol I was looking forward to a possible Rave7 final lol or Metro for that matter.

Re: TC_Halogen's Christmas Tournament!
who can beat Luis anyway lol, even Dossar can have a hard time winning against him now so it's not like there was an underdog who had a chance in this tourney xD

Re: TC_Halogen's Christmas Tournament!
Well somehow I just AAA'd the speedup 4ths in isolation a few times... too bad I can't ever do it for real or I'd have the SDG by now.
Edit: Well fucking finally a decent score. Too many goods in the 16th 4321 rolls (usually AAA or bf those) but I finally got the 4th wall. Your move. Last edited by smartdude1212; 01-6-2013 at 06:41 PM.. |

Mirror is where it's at. That pattern only appears twice (albeit at the end).

Re: TC_Halogen's Christmas Tournament!
Rave7 would've motivated samurai to fix his current flag more.
When it comes down to 1-3 goods difference, anyone can have a hard time winning. Rave7 in the 6th official and Jamais Vu in the 7th official clearly show this... |

Re: TC_Halogen's Christmas Tournament!
Dossar the point was that you're pretty much the only one that can get down to a 1-3 goods battle with Luis -w-''

Re: TC_Halogen's Christmas Tournament!
I picked the song with the potentially tighter score spread to make it more interesting, Roy.
I don't care about people fixing trivially close scores, I care about competition. The divisions that I care about motivating to fix scores are D4 and lower, because the finalists of D5 don't have much room to improve. |

Re: TC_Halogen's Christmas Tournament!
Should've picked Metro. As much as I hate that file I would've looked to improve my overall skill on it anyway.
Hell, could've picked RATO, since this is a PA tourney. |

Re: TC_Halogen's Christmas Tournament!
114 plays on the song and I've got it down to 12 clean, which only ties me for first.
Only got that because of mirror. I just need ONE good run through and I've got the clean SDG. EDIT: Tied. Past tense. PrawnSkunk is better than me. 5-0-0-0 having only played the song 7 times. >.> Last edited by funmonkey54; 01-6-2013 at 07:48 PM.. |

Re: TC_Halogen's Christmas Tournament!
Alright. So for me, the files comes down to a lot of not being retarded. It's a pretty good choice, AJ. The 16ths make you hit the 32nds too slow and the 32nds make you rush the 16ths. It's a nightmare. And not to mention the jacks. >.<
If I can nail that first jack, the 16th streamy bit is easy. Then once it does the startup sound, if I can nail that jack it just comes down to not being an idiot on the various 32nds thrown into the 16ths. And then I think the deciding factor for this division will be the 32nd stream at the very end. I know I've gotten damn close to a AAA on it on at least one run, so it's possible. I'm just ruining scores on it as of today. Should be fun to see the last round competition and whoring. Good luck again to those who have made it this far. -o24

Re: TC_Halogen's Christmas Tournament!
Oh the irony.
The first half is straightforward enough (I'm surprised at how long I kept the AAA going) but my biggest problem in the second half is not being able to read the chart comfortably so I have to semi-mash in some places, and properly just mash the ending. The irony is that I would have taken 1st place by 20 points if I hadn't got that stupid miss while mashing. andy-o24: you can nearly AAA the ending? ...wat... also yay for me getting 0/5 on the song guessing competition >.< edit: 24-5-0-16. i wish this tournament was combo scoring
