Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #8
Well technically if the file is stepped accurately, the notes should be on the same frame regardless of how many times you multiply or divide the bpm. So in reality, a framer will be a framer regardless of what happens due to how the conversion works.
I'm not sure about color shifting or whatever, but if it's synced, this should still apply. Unless I'm missing something...

Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #8
You'd have to step a song to understand, I know what he's saying but can't really explain it lol.
Edit - I'm also not saying you have no stepping knowledge lol

they play perfectly on sm it's just that ffr runs on a 30 fps flash engine that's old as shit its not the simfile author's fault that there are framer issues also besides powerpoints i saw no need for framer fixing in gonzales / loner / where's bill they are playing as intended ps) people use framers as an excuse for everything lol.. i aaa papa gonzales/wheres bill/loner without problem consistently so it must be a problem on their hands powerpoints had framer issues so that was fixed. done and done. papa gonzales and such = no framer issues to my eyes |

Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #8
unless there are frame problems like those in powerpoints (those were real bad) i dont think frames are a big deal
nobody really notices frame problems unless they're blatantly wrong (like powerpoints) just play to the song and you'll AAA lol........ its not that hard framers aren't preventing you guys from AAAing my files, it's your lack of skill sorry |

I'm sorry but this is not 100% accurate ever Also: Your charts have some of the most ungodly awkward patterns ever. Makes it very nerve wracking to get passed certain parts and it feels like you value being technical a little too much. Oddy framed section take a lot of special practice to get "good" at. I'm only good at coming up with ways to "cheat" the patterns more than actually hit them. There is a degree of luck involving how you deal with a chart with some forms of framers There are ones like in Shade that can be cheated hilariously easy, which is actually completely intended in this case. I kept the pattern simple to make it cheatable. This is also the case in Epilogue where the 192nd offset notes are notes that are meant to be emphasized due to to their sound, but weren't jumped due to the idea of keeping technicalities. Then there are the ones such as in Papa Gonzalas that you can really approach either way, you can learn them legit, or learn to cheat them which might eventually turn into learning them legit but that's no the point here. Like I said earlier my complaints where me rather being in a nasty mood and not thinking straight. I'm sorry I said it so mindlessly. Anyways, my tip for the other D4 players tackling Papa Gonzalas who are struggling at this point is to treat them very much like a graced piano file (ala jump what you can when you can and if you think you can't jump it hit is as the nearest color between the grace note and the two main notes.) That's how I cut my score in a little over half. This works on all the the 64th notes, but the others are kinda mashed into my memory through the SM chart, so I don't really remember how I do the others, I just kind of hit them. Another thing you can do is play Felsvelka a lot. I'm completely serious. The charts share very similarly oddly framed / very speedy to hit patterns. If the 24ths are what's bothering you, Trisection V2 (uhg) and Since 1983 are very good charts to practice for such streamy sections and have a tid bit of awkwardness to them as well. Hopefully this helps anyone who's trying to catch up. |

Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #8
nice analysis gj
but tbh people need to straight up learn patterns instead of cheating em or blaming framers cause yeah... the bursts are p. hard to cheat as jumps cause they're not graced (they actually go to the sound of the instruments) w/e gl dudes expect more of my files, the rape train aint stoppin :twis ted: :twis ted: |

Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #8
You know, I forgot to mention this but...
After the frames were fixed in Power Points, I immediately enjoyed the file, despite me hating jacks, lol. Very catchy and did like the color usage, even if it made reading some sections lulzy. Or maybe it's just because I like the song for some reason. I don't know, I just find it fun regardless. (And me getting all those misses, yuck.) |

I won't AAA anything because I have a poopty keyboard, a poopty flash and a poopty comp. I get about 30% goods on every file.

Re: Dragons Fury: Custom Tournament #8
It is not. I can see it just fine (other than a missing transaction, but I still have the credits so w/e). The problem is there does not seem to be a link to it other than through Google or my bookmarks.
