Re: Squid and Puppy's Summer Vanilla Tourney
Seriously considering joining. Nothing makes you feel alive quite like scraping the very bottom of D6.

Re: Squid and Puppy's Summer Vanilla Tourney
As a tournament host myself, I emplore that since you have deemed D5 worthy of a split, D6 should have one too; considering D6 has more players and the skill gap is large from high to low.

Re: Squid and Puppy's Summer Vanilla Tourney
I forget when half divisions started becoming a thing, but it can be applied to any division in which there is a noticable skill gap and can be demonstrated by leveling off the playing field.
In honesty as a host, the participants will lose a share of their earnings to have a half division placed, but it does help with grouping closer skill level players. The reason I am saying D6 needs one is because there are several high caliber players that I noticed compared to the lower or newer players in that division. Per say, you noticed Prawn wanting to join but he admitted to struggling because of being low D6. You also have Raged who is D7 but placed in D6.

Re: Squid and Puppy's Summer Vanilla Tourney
imo the problem is that a majority of them are very close to each other on the leaderboard, with the exception of only a few above top 100. it would end up being the entire D6 being D6.5, and like 2 people D6. like you said, it ends up giving everybody less prize from the pool, which isn't worth the hassle of changing the difficulty per round by 2 or 3 for the separation. im not trying to make it seem like im just throwin them in the deep end and saying "sink or swim", but i feel like D6.5 isnt the way to go for this tourney.
