Gimmicky as fuck to the point that no one who's really interested in stepmania is interested in the pack. All you have now are Underfags that wanna play Undertale in another game. So good luck getting good simfiles, not that you'd care about their quality.

MarioNintendo recently released an Undertale pack which was quite well received. I think the Undertale theme appeals to more than just "underfags," man.

I definitely care about the quality of the simfiles, if you want proof you can read the reviews I made in the previous page.

I think it was "well received" only because I surfed the Undertale hype. (Just looked at mediafire, it's currently at 5449 downloads, can you believe it!? It's my most downloaded piece of work ever). However, the reviews in my thread are entirely ironical. That's because the pack consists of only 11 songs from the soundtrack, which are all less than 30 seconds long and feature note counts usually below 10. It's the short tracks no one thinks about, let alone want to play in Stepmania.

It was a joke pack. At first, I wanted to put these songs in the UnderMania pack, since I thought it would be a quick and dirty style of pack. However, when I realized that it was being hyped and all, I just said screw it and posted my thread. The joke would have lost its momentum if it came out in 2017 and, frankly, I felt bad when sending them to UnderMania, because it had at the time 14 accepted songs, 11 of which were mine.

Undertale was a tremendous game while it lasted. Its fanbase is mostly crappy, but I loved this game and hope I will be able to get back into it without thinking about its fans. I'm glad we got a lot of crossovers between stepmania and undertale. However, the party is pretty much over now. I don't know what will happen with this pack. The intentions were pure, that's not the problem here. The problem is that, four months later, most people are sick of hearing about Undertale, sadly.

Yep, but I do love the amount of creative force I've seen revolving around the game and it's story. The amount of content fans have made for this game have been, for the most part, really really good.

Oh don't get me wrong, some of the stuff out there is really really creative, and really really good! I did not mean to insult anyone or to derail the thread by saying that. When I said that the fanbase was mostly crappy, I didn't express myself well. I had in mind the bandwagon jumpers, the kind who goes crazy in a crowd like AGDQ just from the mention of "sans" or "Undertale". I have nothing against Undertale art, hell, I'm all for it! I just don't like the fans that claim "Undertale is [their] favorite game ever" and then forget all about it 2 months later. That's what I call a crappy fanbase, and these are the fans I was referring to. The overexcited and not loyal. I think they're the majority, otherwise we wouldn't have gone from "Undertale is a great game!" to "I can't stand hearing about Undertale anymore".

But that's just my overall impression. :P I've never been on an Undertale forum, I simply played the game 6 times, loved it to death, and moved on. At this point, I guess I should add I base my opinions on hear-say more than anything else.
