Re: The Kongregate Brag Thread!
On the new game, classic campaign, is it still nine dungeons long to beat the campaign followed by endless dungeons afterwards?

Re: The Kongregate Brag Thread!
i really don't ever have lag. on any game. you guys need better computers or graphics cards or something. MMM2 is about the only game i can remember lagging on.
Mr Bounce is cake. It's like a cool version of Arkanoid. Although the aiming feature makes it way too easy. And the bullet time. Got the easy/medium of MD2... past 20k for the 1st hard badge... it's so tedious. Once I get it, then I'll try for the survival mode badge. At least there is no level 50 ENDURANCE Imp badge on this one.

Re: The Kongregate Brag Thread!
Tass, you mind sharing your team with us? =D
Also, for anyone who's having trouble on the survival mode, a super important/awesome thing to do is to have a healing ranger. On the first battle, kill all but one of the enemies, and pass everyone's turns except for the healing ranger, because he/she will put nature's balm on everyone. The awesome thing about nature's balm on this mode is that it stays for the whole entire game. Also, don't worry about the attacks, because once your allies have nature's balm on them, they'll regenerate any health they lost. There's my two cents.

Re: The Kongregate Brag Thread!
I've yet to play Arcane. Will wait until it gets badges. If it gets badges.
Finally got to 50,000 for the hard badge on MD:BOD... My team was Barbarian, Cleric, Ranger, and Conjurer. Feelings: Barbarian is worthless... he's like the Warrior, only can't use any shield/secondary weapon slot... so I used an Axe for him. His magic stuff is pretty crappy, although the Charge thing (160% damage to backrank) works well on the end boss in the new campaign and a few other of the backrow bosses. Also, his attack where he'll hit all tangential targets also works well when there are 5 or 6 opponents. Plus... his Brutality became helpful once I got to level 20 or so, where it was dealing an extra 50% damage 1/3 or more attacks. Conjurer: Also found to not be very helpful, except against highly physically resistant guys, like Gargoyles or Wraiths. I'd take a 2nd ranger over the Conjurer if I did it again. Ranger and Cleric are must haves. Cleric works as a decent tank, front row with heavy armor and a mace, with the +healing device as a secondary. The ranger is middle of back row, and starts off most fights with the attack that hits 2 guys standing in a row. Overall, I did not use much magic. I generally don't in RPG games anyway... I'm a tanker. That made this game hard, with the beefed up damage. After the first few levels, I managed to get solid health regen items for all my guys (plus a bunch of points into the ranger's health regen skill), and tried to also get drain health items. 14% drain health + 50 or more (around 100 for the ranger) health regen was enough to finally prevent my from dying... around level 18 or so. I finished with over 100 character deaths and 8 party deaths. My party was pretty sucky. Took me until level 24 to get 50,000. On normal + no power regen (150%). My advice for a future party would be Warrior (maybe rogue... but probably warrior), Cleric. Those 2 front rank. Then 2 rangers back rank. That way, you have 3 people that can heal, if needed. Plus the rangers have very high speed, with their quivers giving +15. Very beneficial to attack first. This should hopefully be helpful to some people looking to do the campaign setting. Strategy for the Survival mode would be rather different, I think.

Re: The Kongregate Brag Thread!
Thanks for the awesome guide, but I still don't understand how anyone can do anything without +power regen. I guess I'll just have to only have attrition on =(

Re: The Kongregate Brag Thread!
i only had the power regen. as i said... i don't like magic-based parties in my RPGing as a general rule, so i tend not to focus on using them. for this, my party is based around health regen and drain. that kept my guys alive enough to defeat the harder battles without having to use lots of defensive or buff spells. when you're getting 50-60 HPs back per guy per turn (when you have 300-400 HPs) plus you're draining 14% of the damage you do (when you're doing 500+ damamge), you tend to be ok. Especially since the baddies do 100-150 damage per attack, at most. Even still, it was quite rough initially. I had to skip certain fights early on... and i had 8 party defeats and 104 character deaths. I only missed 4 or 5 boss fights out of 23 full levels, and i think i had at least 96% cleared on every level... 90% battles won on at least every level.
If you want to get it easily, play on beginner with 2 of the 3 mods (don't turn on hardcore). that'll get you around 100%... but with fewer deaths and defeats, you should be able to get to 50k by level 25 (30 at worst).

I know that this is supposed to be a brag thread...
I'm proud of these. =) But mostly, I wanted to ask for some advice. (This is the only Kongregate thread I could find.) I wanted to ask if anyone recommends any games that I should start out with. http://www.kongregate.com/accounts/Jtehanonymous/badges There are the badges I have right now if you want to see the massive list of stuff I haven't done yet. Also...add me if you want. =) |

Re: The Kongregate Brag Thread!
I was wondering if I was the only one to have installed the Kongregate toolbar. It is really useful when there's a lot of badges you haven't got yet.
Jtehanonymous, if I were you, I would try to get every easy badge first, then try to get every medium badge, and so on. That's what I have done (and I am still doing) and it works pretty well. |

Xander: the one with 3 balls. by far the best minigame to whore in Grid16.
No, I don't use the Kong toolbar. I don't really like toolbars in general. Plus, I'm not missing many badges. And Jteh: just test out some of the easy badges... you'll find games you like.

Re: The Kongregate Brag Thread!
Got the impossible badge on SCGMD2 some days ago. Was kind of easy. Don't feel like playing 3 now, because the numbers 1-4 for the hold keys are EXACTLY the opposite of real guitar playing, and after 11 years of playing correctly it's kinda hard to switch. And I don't want to use the asdf keys <_<
