Re: The Great PA Tournament Of FFR - Round 2
Great..so I think I make it to round 2 because I check and see on the late update it shows me as the last person above the line...including some late submissions from my opponents. Then I come back to find that even more late submissions came in, were included, and pushed me out of round 2. GREAT!
Way to run a tournament guys. |

Re: The Great PA Tournament Of FFR - Round 2
You're saying it's my fault for thinking my score was good enough for round 2 when the round ended Friday and my name was above the line on the first update after the supposed end of the round? I just expected that in an official tournament the end dates of a round wouldn't change..way to be an ass though.
Really though, for my first tournament ending this way can't you understand my displeasure? Edit* Oh, it's not an official tournament..whoops....oh well. Replace "an official tournament" with "a tournament with months of hype" Last edited by DragonheroAnj; 04-27-2008 at 10:30 PM.. |

Re: The Great PA Tournament Of FFR - Round 2
I could have AAA'd this but the stupid EXACT note following arrows wrecked me. 48ths are dumb.
btw ninjaKIWI - Dragon is right. It's pretty retarded how the round was extended without any mention of such by neither Phynx or EnR, people just submitted late and due to Phynx not updating, it was just assumed as being okay. But yeah. w/e |

Re: The Great PA Tournament Of FFR - Round 2
Nothing was stopping you from improving your score any further beforehand (during the initial three days). I personally don't go for a score only until it's only enough to pass...I make sure to get in the safest spot I can be, in case things happen at the last minute like that.
Also, it's nice to keep track of your position on an individual basis in times when updates are lacking. |

Re: The Great PA Tournament Of FFR - Round 2
And wait.. you said you seen your score at the end of the line even AFTER people got LATE SCORES ACCEPTED. Why didn't you take advantage and get a better score.

Re: The Great PA Tournament Of FFR - Round 2
Right, I know..but I sort of rushed home in time to post my score (which I had tried to beat over and over as much as my schedule allowed) by the posted deadline, waited for the update and when it finally came saw that I was above the line even for some late submissions..I kind of figured no more late submissions would be allowed, but that was my mistake.
I'm not complaining that my score wasn't good enough to beat others, just that my on-time submission didn't have priority over late submissions. I'm not that upset, I just wish things were a little better managed in this tourney. Good luck everyone still in round 2. |

Well I'm not telling everyone to stay out of that above-the-line position, just make sure YOUR out of it. Let someone else get put there lol

Re: The Great PA Tournament Of FFR - Round 2
They should have let late submissions beat only people who would have advanced and did not send in a score. Like Hammy did for meno.
