What game took you the longest to beat? - Page 5

I agree with the people that like Water Temple and Garuda Desert on OoT =P. Those parts are fun.

The game that took me the longest to beat (1st time through) was probably FFX, and I don't mean completing all the side-quests. (Took me about 90hrs...Second time through, I beat all the bosses, and unlocked 4 legendary weapons in under 50hrs =P)

The longest time I've spent playing a game - FFXI, easily . I just pulled up my play time, and I'm currently at 189 days x_x.

Adventure Island for the NES. The game is evil. Here's the breakdown.

10 levels broken down into 4 stages.
stage 1: grassy area
stage 2: Cave thing
Stage 3: Ice castle. You slip like a mofo, the platforms are like ____ that big, and they fall out from under you later on in the game. I made it past the 7th ice castle once, and got to the 8th, the entire level was jumping across falling peices of ice while bats flew at you. Soooooo gay.
Stage 4: woods/boss stage. Usualy pretty easy if you didn't die on the ice stage.

Did I mention you don't start out with weapons? Oh no, if you die once, you have to dodge your way to the end of the stage to aquire your weapon again.

There is no save, you get 3 lives to start with, and no continues. One hit from anything in the game kills you instantly.

I'm not sure If i broke the stupid game out of frustration or I intentionally lost it.

OoT took me about a year of off and on playing, most of which was me runnnin aound cause i didn't know wtf to do with the well.

Fester's quest for NES took me a while as well. If you ever play that game, use the whips, the guns, even maxed, do nothing to the bosses. Something I found out to my own detriment later on. (one hit kills you in this too).

Ninja Gaiden!!! This game is insanely difficult and it took me ages to beat very difficult mode (I won't even try playing master Ninja lol). I'm currently working on not dying in the eternal legend mission

Since Im a profectionist when I get into a game I cant miss a single thing.
Unfortunitly Final fantasy 10, to max the saphire grid for all chars, get it back up to 99 after doing that. Well the thing that took the longest was finding enough of the items to create max break limits for all characters. That out of the way I had to deal with blitzball and yeesh. In my single Final fantasy X I put in about 180hours to finish appsolutly everything. xD

To complete 100%, Twilight Princess took me 105 hours (Getting every fish, finishing Roal Goal, getting every bug, poe, etc)

To complete in general, Metroid Prime 2, which I completed in 7 hours. Now I can beat it in 2 hours. ^.^

On Legend of Dragoon I have a Time play of 172 hours. I have everything in that game. The only thing not perfect is the level and thats because you are supposed to beat the game between levels 35-45. My guys are level 69.

Tomb Raider for the ps1. Played with my dad when I was young took us forever. (no cheats or guide)

Either Kingdom Hearts(one and two separately), or Dark Cloud two. Both took me about 48-56 hours to get to the end credits.

238 hours in Harvest Moon Magical Melody, i got like a 99% game...missing one Note and i do not have one town person's heart meter to 10 (only 9 now)

Diddy Kong racing LOL. Took me like a week to beat that damn walrus. The rest of the game includes best time trials on all courses and everything unlocked about...

2 weeks lol. Yes I suck.

And Im scared to play the DS version. Heard its even harder
