Yeah, way to impersonate me :/ Anyway, I'm ToshXI on SW.net.
--- Actually he probably did it because he knows what my name means. No one else I know of knows. |

Thieves don't want dex. So, NPC.
Plus, they get the entire level 60 suit (of the 3 available) for doing the Thief-only quest at level 55. ~Squeek |

Scroll for Wand ATT can easily be sold for 800K
--- No need for a Blue Chaos Robe, especially considering everyone can get a red one(better) in El Nath. I heard it sells for 100K, though, if it sells. I don't know what a Blue Pole (whatever) Archer Hat sells for. I'd advise you NPC it unless it looks good. |

Haha, someone got all pissed yesterday when I didn't trade my blood chaos robes for their blue ones.
Oh man... I just realized that the incident I remember of someone dropping a bunch of umbrellas, and me teleping over, picking them all up, running like hell, and logging out was a dream. :<

BIG QUESTION BECAUSE I CAN'T DECIDE:
K, so I know I'm gonna max fire arrow, teleport, MP eater, and meditation, but what then? I think it leaves me with like, 31 points left. Either I get poison or slow maxed, right? What about if I get magic armor? If it were up to you, what would you do? =\ EDIT: Also, do Bless and Magic Armor (or any other armor buffs) stack? If so.....holy crap!

I'd max Slow, and put the rest on Magic Armor(like 1, or 11, or whatever), because I will NEVER use poison, especially over Fire Arrow.

EB, there is A LOT of talk among Wizards now to just ignore Meditation altogether. It is now a question between Poison and Meditation among Wizards (on SW, that is).
Poison has proven itself highly useful. Even if you can shoot Fire Arrows at things instead of just leaving them to die, Poison still has a use. While I don't know for sure what you could use it for as I am not a Poison Wizard, Werewolves and Yeti & Pepe come to mind as interesting choices. In any event, if you're set on getting Meditation, then I say you ignore Poison and get Slow. Slow is so incredibly useful for both Wizards, but especially Fire / Poison. ~Squeek |

Every time I mention slow people say that it's the most retarded skill ever. What exactly is good about it? I mean, yeah, things slow down, but does it have like, a huge AOE so I don't have to get close to things just to slow them? It seems like it would be useful, but magic armor would be more useful....
And I don't think I'm gonna get poison until 3rd job, since poison mist is so incredibly awesome. If I only take it to 11 or whatever and max slow/armor/whatever, it won't be very useful to me, so I think I'll max either slow or magic armor and get the other to 11 (which won't be too big of a deal since they're buffs, so the increase in MP useage won't be too bad). But I still don't know which to get, slow or armor. Slow wouldn't work for bosses, but armor may not stack with other things. You never answered that question......

Uh, so my monitor goes black when I try to open Maple Story.
Is this just me, or does everyone have this problem? |

Tank, go to your Maple Story folder and click the setup icon. It should set your monitor correctly.

Yay, suddenly Magic Claw became worth using and I tear through the armies of Slimes with ease and am gaining massive experience. Unfortunately, MP is extremely annoying to refill. I'll find some way to get around that though.
Level 15 at the moment. Not for long.

1) Magic Armor is useless.
2) Slow has a pretty nice range of use, and can be used on ropes / ladders. 3) 20 Speed is more than you think. Put it this way. Half of a haste makes you run twice as fast. Therefore, for enemies that are slower than you are without Haste, they go even slower than your half of your walking speed. Ok, here is what I have figured from a Fire Wizard video. When fighting WWs looking for an Evil Wings, you do these steps: 1) Magic Guard. 2) Red Bean Soup (optional) 3) SLOW, make sure it hits the WW. 4) POISON (the WW), make sure it worked. 5) FIRE ARROW anything there, but focus on the WW since that is the powerhouse. The WW takes FOREVER to get anywhere. It is slower than a Zombie. If you do all that against just a WW, it'll go down in less than 10 seconds. Consider this, as this will likely be your life from levels 60 to 70 trying to find this stupid staff. ~Squeek |
