Honestly it's supposed to be mirrorable. I don't mind mirror, one hand is fucked either way. I'll let you choose.

Are you saying right now that if we don't see our stepfile in the batch review thread right now it means that they're going to have a pretty good score?

To put it briefly, TC_Halogen is making an attempt to smoothen out discrepencies in judge scores. Judging simfiles is always a subjective matter so it's no surprise that you'll find some outlier ratings here and there. Without moderation, a single review can change the average rating of any submission, and can mean the difference between an accepted or rejected file. Last edited by bmah; 05-31-2014 at 02:00 AM.. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: closed!]
You do realize these are the reviews for the January/February batch? Looking back on your post history, it would appear you sent your file to the March/April batch.

There were a few other outliers that caused decent changes: kjwkjw on You Time, Silvuh on Reality Hits You Hard Bro (a high end outlier), ilikexd on 20031023 (another high end outlier); this is a normal occurrence in every batch. It's just a matter of determining whether or not the outlying rating is merited outside of the realm of subjectivity -- what might not be enjoyable (note: enjoyable and playable are not the same thing) to one person could be enjoyable to someone else. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: closed!]
I am kinda sad, not gonna lie, I averaged around a 5 with upular, and around a 4.5 with terminator. However, this gives me hope for the next batch, since these files were made in Stepmania edit, when I had no clue what PR really meant nor did I use DDReamstudio very often. I am just kinda sad I couldn't switch the files like I asked I knew terminator was gonna get rejected beforehand.. And most of the mistakes in upular I noticed too before the batch notes. So hopefully next batch will be better.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 [Regular batch: closed!]
Well if you know you are going to be better next batch, you have no reason to be sad.
Guaranteed improvement is anything but sad.

I've got a Zen-like tranquility about batch notes now. Hell, with this hard songs batch I'm about to send a file I've literally spent time over 7 years stepping. What's another few months for it to be judged? Sit and wait, that's how FFR judging works.
