Read my above post about certain files being reevaluated, your file is actually what prompted me to say that in the first place.

I will be reassessing all files with large discrepancies before putting a final list.

Honestly it's supposed to be mirrorable. I don't mind mirror, one hand is fucked either way. I'll let you choose.

LOL Razor.

Either way, I'm happy with how it ended up doing
6 / 6.5 / 7.5 / 8 = solid 7

Are you saying right now that if we don't see our stepfile in the batch review thread right now it means that they're going to have a pretty good score?

TC_Halogen is only referring to the files that were reviewed recently; he's not making any sort of generalization on the submission or judging process. You needn't be concerned as you don't have any files within the batch that the judges have just reviewed.

To put it briefly, TC_Halogen is making an attempt to smoothen out discrepencies in judge scores. Judging simfiles is always a subjective matter so it's no surprise that you'll find some outlier ratings here and there. Without moderation, a single review can change the average rating of any submission, and can mean the difference between an accepted or rejected file.

You do realize these are the reviews for the January/February batch? Looking back on your post history, it would appear you sent your file to the March/April batch.

This has been a problem for multiple batches; it's not just you. You weren't the only one in this batch that did this, but Falcon Punch just so happens to be the first discrepancy on the spreadsheet that prevented acceptance (and yes, you were the outlier). The only time I am generally concerned about outlying ratings is when the rating is extremely out of place and there's not a lot of details to justify the rating itself. There's always an instance of some sort where one person causes a file's average to be largely deflated for one reason or another -- in fact, I nearly caused Anaru's Mellann to get rejected after it received 7s/8s (I gave it a 4 or 5 iirc).

There were a few other outliers that caused decent changes: kjwkjw on You Time, Silvuh on Reality Hits You Hard Bro (a high end outlier), ilikexd on 20031023 (another high end outlier); this is a normal occurrence in every batch. It's just a matter of determining whether or not the outlying rating is merited outside of the realm of subjectivity -- what might not be enjoyable (note: enjoyable and playable are not the same thing) to one person could be enjoyable to someone else.

Fairly happy with that.

I am kinda sad, not gonna lie, I averaged around a 5 with upular, and around a 4.5 with terminator. However, this gives me hope for the next batch, since these files were made in Stepmania edit, when I had no clue what PR really meant nor did I use DDReamstudio very often. I am just kinda sad I couldn't switch the files like I asked I knew terminator was gonna get rejected beforehand.. And most of the mistakes in upular I noticed too before the batch notes. So hopefully next batch will be better.

Well if you know you are going to be better next batch, you have no reason to be sad.
Guaranteed improvement is anything but sad.

I wouldn't if the batch notes didn't take so long..

I am literally waiting for files I made ages ago to be judged

You'll get used to it.
I've got a Zen-like tranquility about batch notes now.
Hell, with this hard songs batch I'm about to send a file I've literally spent time over 7 years stepping. What's another few months for it to be judged?
Sit and wait, that's how FFR judging works.
