I had someone trying to jungle Karma in a vs AI game (I was playing for just win of the day) and they died twice in the jungle

First really postworthy match in a long while.

Only Silver II but whatevs. Anyways, me and Trist started the game off on fairly even terms against Ali and Vayne, we traded kills both ways twice etc. From there on though we started completely dominating the bott lane. Other lanes were not doing so well early on, Jayce got like 4 kills off of Ryze and top was very uneventful for 90% of the match, just pushing creeps back and forth.

After we got bott tower, ppl started running to bott and fed Trist endless amounts of kills (with me aiding ofc :3) and Vayne and Ali kept trying to fight us even though Trist already had some feed and I was on point with the bubbles. In the end though Ryze managed to rebound and carry and Olaf also got stronk and we were able to end in two pushes to mid.

p.s. sorry for that tooltip being in the way of some items, didn't notice that when I took the screencap and just left the score screen ;w;

AD Thresh + Taric support is my new favorite bot kill lane. So safe and easy to make plays whether you are ahead or behind. Good sustain.
AD Thresh + Volibear support is pretty legit too, but more punishable by their jungler. Better lategame, because Volibear support can get pretty scary if ahead. Standard Sightstone + Shurelya's actually makes him pretty tanky.

i don't like ad thresh because he brings no reliable nukes in teamfights

and his onhit damage scales worse and worse late game since it's magic damage (not physical)

in addition, his skills scale with ap so building ad would bring no additional benefits

it could prob stomp anything below diamond with proper teamwork though since thresh's kit brings so much to the table besides damage

It's meant to stomp the lane. Kill lanes usually have weaker endgames. I mean classic bot kill lanes like Pantheon + Jarvan are even weaker lategame, at least Thresh is ranged.

If you are ahead (as you should be after laning with a Taric or Volibear or Leona) with say BT + Statikk + IE, one auto will just instantly remove an enemy squishy from the fight. If you are zoned and have to hit the closest target etc etc like a real AD carry you will obviously do less damage than their carry, but if you play AD Thresh like an assassin and just sneak into their backline with Q you will CC them for days and 2shot people.

I would prefer it on a team with a sustained AP damage source like Cass, Ryze, Rumble. Something that is an even bigger threat than you are so you can sneak around. One of my teams had a super fed Brand and his presence and the focus the enemy put on him made it so easy for me and Taric to kill their AD carry + support in a backline duel.

cassio isnt picked cause she requires too much mechanics and has problems w/o blue (even with her mana cost reduction passive)
not to mention she doesn't have as much utility as champs like say, orianna

but man.. good cassiopeias are FUCKING scary
she's fucking god in 3s too lol

Yeah it's true that of all the champions in league, Cassiopeia scales the strongest with skill.
I always wonder why we never see her this season in competitive play, but it must just be that she has no real escape and professionals prefer the reliability of someone who does. Why pick Cass when you can pick Ryze and do similar damage but be significantly tankier and have a spammable non-ultimate CC to escape/catch with. Maybe when Riot finally figures out they need to nerf Ryze, Cass will make a comeback?

Also with the removal of bulwark they are putting a lot of personal MR items in the game and buffing some existing MR items, such as the MR on GA, so at least there's that.
