yeah after you're done with that totally work on 6 key
you don't need to give yourself too much pressure, I doubt it's that hard if you just copy ffr's current engine. we can wait as long as needed, as long as we eventually do reach our goals counting on you <3

If something like this were to become reality on FFR, it could definitely pose a great challenge to players changing their style of playing. I mean, you are not going to be able to play with the arrow keys anymore, you need a different mapping. Besides that, this is a nice idea, but if now there are left, up, down, and right keys, what would the other two be?

They wouldn't be arrow keys, of course; they'd be bars or circles or something and if it was your first time opening up the game there'd be a note as to what the key configuration is and how to change it (default could be something like qweiop or tyu789)

I didn't know when you had to suggest something, you also had to have a help do the work. If I recall, this is a suggestion and the general aim is to get support for this idea. There's no harm in doing in, and should be either taken with a grain of salt or actually thinking this might actually be a benefit for FFR's sake. Getting more attention would also attract the other Bemani players, thus more traffic for the game and forums.

I said I might do the solo thing but as for noteskins that's a whole different story and would even require more work imo. So for now be happy with what you get :P

Integrating noteskins would be cool though it'd take a load of effort and time. Simply integrating the solo option is good enough for the time being.

yeah fine, noteskins aren't all that important, it just doesn't make sense as arrows.
default configuration will be qweiop because this will enforce the spread style of play (not that there's many other ways to do it) and this is an optimal configuration that will allow most people to hit quads+ about the noteskin issue though, I think some are being are being mistaken. I don't want the option to change noteskins, I just want a different noteskin altogether anyways, thanks so much for considering this. tass by himself would never even consider this idea
