Re: How long have you gone w/o sleep? Tell me your stories.
I've stayed up many times past 24 hours doing assignments and stuff but the most was only about 40 hours. I don't understand why anyone would intentionally want to remain awake for longer than 2 days, I hated the feeling of how sluggish and out-of-body the experience was :s

Re: How long have you gone w/o sleep? Tell me your stories.
About 36-37 hours...
Back in high school, i went to this place called "Element Gaming" where you could game all night for 10 bucks. It closed at 10 AM. From there I drove home feeling all hyped from all the energy drinks I drank during the event and decided to go to the gym to workout. Once I finished working out, I felt the crash coming in so I quickly drove home and went straight to bed at around 1:00 PM. I ended up waking up at 4:00 AM in the morning which was perfect because I had a lot of homework I wanted to do so it all worked out XD TLDR; I woke up at around 6:30 AM for school and went to bed at around 1:00 PM the next day.

I can barely handle 36 hours without sleep. Shit's challenging.

Re: How long have you gone w/o sleep? Tell me your stories.
I actually enjoy the feeling of minor sleep deprivation. I have issues sleeping normally (due to chronic insomnia and not reaching sleep paralysis), so going as long as 24-36 hours helps me sleep restfully.

I posted somewhere in this thread, page one or two .. Basic update, 2 hours sleep a night so far .. Well, nap anyway. Still whoring my game and coming top 20 out of a few thousand. I'm exhausted, and i also puked blood 2 nights ago and have had a sore stomach since .. Maybe stress, dunno.

Re: How long have you gone w/o sleep? Tell me your stories.
I've gotten my sleep schedule pretty ****ed during the last month or two and now that I have a very weird set of courses to go to (most begin in the afternoon and a couple of them early in the morning) it's become standard for me to stay up 24+ hours almost once a week. I've also started taking naps again every once in a while since I'm not that good at handling sleep deprivation.

Re: How long have you gone w/o sleep? Tell me your stories.
Damn I was pretty level-headed back then For about a year up until the time of this story I'd been addicted to amphetamines / speed and would only sleep 4 or 5 nights a week. I work weekdays and would often go to work, stay up all night gaming, go to work the next day, then crash hard and be nodding off at work the following day. Over time it got easier to do this and still function at work which was NOT a good thing because then things just escalated. Two days while working without sleep turned into three etc. The worst of it was this past May when I stayed up from a Thursday to Monday morning all while drinking, snorting speed, taking MDMA, and Xanax to come down. After the Thursday I had stopped eating and I planned to call in sick to work on Monday around 8am because I knew my body was saying enough is enough. I took my last Xanax and ended up passing out just before 8am. Throughout the day my boss called my cell phone which was sitting right next to my face on vibrate but I wasn't waking up. By the afternoon my boss got worried and called my mother who was my emergency contact. My parents knew about my drug problem and decided to check on me. I woke up at 3pm to my dad banging on my back door yelling my name with urgency in his voice. I stumbled out of bed still really groggy from the Xanax and opened the door. My dad and my sister were both there, my dad's eyes were full of fear and my sister was crying. They thought they were going to find me dead. My mom had been too afraid to go with them. I'm actually thankful this all happened because it made me realize how close to the brink I was. I've since been working my way back out of the woods. tl;dr my new "PB" is 96 hours and I have no interest in topping that. Also don't do drugs to stay awake. |

Re: How long have you gone w/o sleep? Tell me your stories.
Oop a bumped thread
I believe for me it was about 42-43 hours about 2 weeks ago, my parents and I were driving from poland to uk and I was the navigator. Couldn't sleep as whenever we took a break I was too awake because all I drank throughout the journey were energy drinks and coffee. Fun times c:
