Got Pro status in Wii Bowling last night.
The ball is really shiny when it's rolling. And on another note, is it possible to save Wii game saves onto GCN memory cards when you run out of space on the Wii?

In theory, yes. But, you need to use an SD Card first. Why not e-mail Nintendo and see if they can add support for USB storage, flash drive or otherwise? Nope. You can't transfer GCN saves to the Wii, or vice-versa. That's not to say an update couldn't change that. For now, let's take a wait-and-see attitude, and I'll let you know what happens to my free space once the Wii Weather Channel launches and I perform a system update.

Re: The Wii is Here.
Nintendo Official Magazine gave Red Steel like 90% (maybe 91% I can't remember). I know it sounds quite Nintendo Fanboyish of them but there not really like that. There not scared to dish out low scores to Nintendo made games. Still I kinda got a feeling Red Steel won't live up to my expectations, although I'm sure I'll still love it. Im just going to lower my expectations like. I still can't wait to play it. Zelda got 97% and Monkey Ball got like 87ish%.
I'm iching to play Zelda so much now, I've never looked this much forward to a game before. Oh yea, I noticed that people are letting info on Zelda slip a bit. Could you guys please slap a spoiler warning on stuff that might give parts of the game away please. Cheers.

Re: The Wii is Here.
Ouch, after reading a lot of that I'm fairly disappointed by Nintendo. Time to e-mail Nintendo as if they care!

Re: The Wii is Here.
Oh, you can use GameCube memory cards... you just can't transfer your saves from a GCN memory card to an SD Card or Wii memory. Sorry if I was unclear about that.

Re: The Wii is Here.
Some hope!
I called a number of places and got nothing. So I called a different area (30 min drive vs 15) and the Best Buy there said they do have some but can't sell until tomorrow morning because it's in their ad. They open at 10 am. I called the Toys R Us right next to it and they said it's probably on the truck that will be there tonight, so check back when they open tomorrow at 9 am. I think I'll head to Best Buy around 5-6 am and wait it out. X( |

The games are tiny. Chill. Carbo, the deal was for used games just like you said it was in your GameStop.. There was no used collection of all three. I did see the new one, but the deal was for used games and if I bought the collection, I had nothing to get with my Metal Gear Solid. So I asked which was better: Zero or the original, and he said it was a bit of a tossup, so I just went with Zero. I didn't want three Resident Evils and no Metal Gear Solids. ps - gl bandit Last edited by Squeek; 11-25-2006 at 01:17 PM.. |

Re: The Wii is Here.
Squeek, I'm really not worried about the size of games or game saves, just updates and patches, either Wii-related or game-specific. Those are the items that will take a toll on available free space.

Re: The Wii is Here.
I imagine it takes a huge part of that internal memory as reservation for updates and such, a la xbox 360 hard drive style. Hopefully.

Re: The Wii is Here.
I'm just saying, so far you've used like maybe 50 blocks and you have 2,000 to go.
You're not running out any time soon. I didn't have a wireless connection until yesterday, so my Wii still didn't have those patches. I went down 20 blocks after the patch. |

Re: The Wii is Here.
You also probably will not be using all the information you are storing in there. It is like old documents that you have saved from school work years ago.
You probably won't be using any of those files, and yet they take up space, a small amount. All you need to do is delete some and you'll have a tiny amount of space for a little more new documents. ~Tsugomaru |
