Which questions specifically? What parts are you able to figure out and which parts are you not?

2: The key's encrypted... which means you need to "fix" it. But how? There are word clues in the note and the names to help you figure out what WD3 encryption really is.
3: You can do this riddle from across the room really lol. As for the binary and ternary, use google 4: Use the source, Luke! |

Re: Omnipwn Tournament (100,000 Credit Grand Prize)
it's simple logic:
if no one needed any more hints, you'd have a lot more people that solved the challenge. I'm stuck at 2 (I don't really have any idea for it, and the hint didn't help me at all..) and 5(had some idead but they lead me to nowhere. I don't even have an idea of how an answer to this one can look like. 5 different numbers? one number after combining the answers? in both cases I don't know how the answer can be achieved..). as for #8, what are the small x's? are they the same as the big x? I'm gonna think about #2 some more with this new hint you gave right now. is the story above the note from a friend important? Last edited by Mck6; 10-6-2007 at 12:39 PM.. |

Re: Omnipwn Tournament (100,000 Credit Grand Prize)
#2: Pay attention to the names. What do they all have in common? Try speaking them aloud, maybe it'll jog your memory a bit. As for the story above, it's useful for knowing the friend's name, and it's useful for knowing where you start on the map.
#5: You have a clock. I mention that half of their aspects may be more than mere numbers. How many aspects are there to a clock time? This means one aspect is another -- the other aspect is something more than just a number. If it's not a number, how else could you represent it? How else could I write "2"? #8 is an equation. FOR EXAMPLE: If I say Y= X + X^2 for 0<X<3 , then this means I should do the equation for X=1 and X=2. You replace X with the number, so Y = 1 + 1^2 = 2 for X=1, and Y= 2 + 2^2 = 6 for X=2. So WrongAnswerx, would be WrongAnswer1 for X=1. Something like WrongAnswerx+1 would be WrongAnswer2 for X=1. For example, FFR Song4 might refer to "The 4th FFR song". So say, for X=2, x * WrongAnswerx+1, means 2 * WrongAnswer2+1, or 2 times "The 2nd Wrong Answer" Last edited by MrRubix; 10-6-2007 at 12:51 PM.. |

Was that just a random reference to Star Wars or how in the hell did you learn my name? *will ponder some more*

I am psychic.
I kid, but really, that's the key word here. What is the source? XBMaster has taken the lead! Kekeb still holds the highest average rank, however. Last edited by MrRubix; 10-6-2007 at 01:28 PM.. |

You're right. You shouldn't use the edit button. View, perhaps.

*Completely off topic* But the edit button saves space. And what do you mean by view?

It's meant to be challenging. Next mental challenge round probably won't be nearly as hard. Congrats to those who've made it so far.
