Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
string machine was something i attempted a long time ago ovisly dint work im reworking it, thanks for the compliments robertsona il be submitting the rest of my files if they din't make into the queue, witch they probly dint, also i just don't like the song sunny side up props to him for attempting to produce a song but i just wasn't feeling it, lastly english is not my first language and therefore that is why my post are all completely incomprehensible and absurdly annoying.

@ eastside: death piano was surprisingly easy to step. I stole shash's sync, so all I had to do was change up the placement and stuff to be honest, I didn't like my steps for sunny side up. the file would've been much better if it stayed on sm. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
I was thinking about stepping Death Piano (but I figured you'd do it justic so I didn't bother), but I could tell it would be easy to step. It's all constant BPM except for the part that begins the final section but then it only increases in 5bpm increments.

I can't make anything a certain playing style-friendly...most of my files are like why did you make this part so index friendly and this part so spread friendly and blahblahblahblah

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
I think the only file I made that was purposely meant to be played on all styles was V1. Most of my other stuff was extremely spread biased. =/

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Jx, if you're looking for index-friendly files, why do you reject files for 1-handed trills and runningmen?

You guys should read "etc".
Not to mention, things like "less framers" or "not overstepped/understepped" are included in fun factors. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
I know judges are looking for index-friendly files that feel comfortable, but that in itself takes a lot of variety away from simfiles. I feel that we need some more interesting arrow patterns, if it wasn't for the tabooing of certain arrow patterns. ):
FFR shouldn't have to play comfortably or conform to a certain playing style; we need some more challenging patterns like trills and crossovers. If everything was index-friendly and everybody goes about AAAing songs with ease, then FFR's replay value would drop a lot. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Okay, I just read the award winners for best stepfile artists on stargourps profile, and wtf? Why the hell did Stargroup and Silver Brian get higher than BDN and SulferDragon? IMO, the best step artists in FFR are:
JX (by far) BDN (his files are so perfectly stepped that I can PA them really well) Sulferdragon (files are excellently stepped) EW (amazing files, just wow) exag0n (love his files, rare files that are so synced you can flow the PA without actually having to trace the notes) hi19hi19 (really good) Close: Rebirth0 (some songs I disagree with steps, that's about it) Shashakiro (once more, disagree with steps, could be more fun, but good files) Worst: Silver Brian (sorry, your files are horribly synced and patterns are annoying, I actually think I can do better, sorry, and I've talked to many members about this as well) Synthlight (wtf?) Undeterminable: Hyrogashi (steps are so fun but everything about the file sucks) |
