I would, but I was lazy and didn't record while streaming. So no good quality video. Guess I need to do it again while recording~ I'll be doing lots of practice runs for SGDQ so I'm sure I can get a good one to submit to SDA.

SDA is an antiquated archive system anyway, I find it hard to believe that people go there expecting to find the best runs. Youtube is the best bet.

The THPS1 run on SDA is pretty rough and from 2007, so I might just record some runs and if I end up with a relatively clean run I'll submit it. If it ends up sub 5 then even better.

found a gamecube, starting to playthrough skies of arcadia to get a plan of attack going

I also wonder if a speedrun of soa 100% could be a thing since there's actually a way to calculate that in game (special title)

Anyone every try and speed run dark souls? I'm going to be doing that here in a bit, I might record it. I think I could do it in 2 to 4 hours.

I tried doing speedruns of Demons Souls for a while. Never cut 1hr30 though, but I was stubborn and kept using a bad build/route. Dark Souls is a less interesting run to me for some reason.

I saw someone do an all medallions run of zelda oot. Kinda weird to see the credits roll after the dondogo king, but at least it was neat.

I just know the layout of Dark Souls like the back of my hand, I've never played Demon Souls. I'm just itching to play DS2 and I'm too familiar with Dark Souls to find challenge in it anymore, also screw NG+

Dark Souls is pretty entertaining to watch...Demon Souls was probably the hardest game I'd ever beaten as a first play-through though....fucking pitch black tendency going through Valley of Defilement and having to start from scratch with no healing items was not fun to say the least.

I need to get a sub-900 on R&C3 100%, and sub-60 on R&C2 any% ng+ one day (the latter not using the Insomniac trick due to my CD failing at loading it)

I don't know but I'm interested in getting on R&C1 as well because I'm (already) mastering what we call neutral long jump, but well I need a PS3 with the HD collection due to a HUEG glitch that is nearly not present in the PS2 version

Or MegaDEU. Everybody loves MegaDEU. Despite me being unable to finish it in 15 mins to start with.

thoughts on a segmented run? the current WR for soa:l is segmented, but I'm wondering if a nonsegmented run would be cooler
it would mean a 15 hr playthrough though

nonsegmented is always more hype
mostly because you can stream it nicely

segmented = grinding individual segments for better RNG from everything i've seen

Nonsegmented runs are allowed, don't see why not.

I did it for an almost 12 hour run of completing Spyro 1, 2, and 3 some days ago.

Just watched Kottpower cut the 1:18 in Super Metroid 100% (1:17:59 flat or something). After watching it I'm really doubtful that a 1:16,xx could be done by a human with current strats...unreal how polished 100% has gotten.

exactly, with a segmented run I can optimize (the best way to speedrun rpgs)

but with a nonsegmented I can stream
not sure if anyone would watch a soa:l stream though lol

Single-segment runs are pretty hype, though you do become the RNG's bitch if you go for it, especially with a long game like that. I also know that SDA is reluctant to take a 15 hour video...I think the longest they've done was 10 hours and change with one of the Final Fantasy titles.

Caught an amazing run last night of Super Hard on Pokemon Puzzle League last night, not within a couple minutes of the world record.

Also started using a split timer now, so splits are below:

Ringrush beat the previous world record on Donkey Kong 64 by nearly 8 minutes a little while ago

It's a pretty cool watch.

Got a -6:00~ minute PB in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage 100% (2:26:14).

Had the potential to sub 2:20, but decided to have some dumb chokes and gem misses.

So a new variant of the wrong warp for SMB3 Any% has been found using a modification to this glitch which brings mario directly to the princess and thus the end of the game. mitchflowerpower has been doing some attempts and it appears this glitch cuts well over 5 minutes off of the game (finished in 4:47 so far with probably ~25-30 seconds lost overall)
