Re: How do your parents feel about your playing SM/FFR?
My mom and dad both tell me it's a waste of time and summer.
A few of my friends are impressed, but definately not my parents. XD. |

Actually my mom loves to watch me play SM... Nowadays I don't even have time to play but sometimes she'll ask me to play a Dragonforce song to see how high a combo I could reach.
My dad... well all he says is "After you're done tapping them keys, get coding!" |

Re: How do your parents feel about your playing SM/FFR?
Come to think of it, the first time my dad saw me playing, his reaction was "So wait, you're definitely the best in the world at that game, right?"
I told him no, a 300 combo on CIA Rave wasn't really close to the best. I don't think he's ever watched me play again.

mom: "wow" dad: is surprised my laptop/keyboard has survived all of this tapping and that I don't have carpel tunnel sister: "almost as fun as DDR" |

Re: How do your parents feel about your playing SM/FFR?
My mom is like Raziel's parents. My dad either doesn't care or tells me to get off.
Mom: Sometimes I just wonder how you do that. *days later* Me: Mom, come look at this! Mom: Yeah, great, whatever *Dad* Dad: You don't need to be playing that, get off. My bother mocks me and says "Nobody plays that because it is soooo boring." I just show him how many members there are. |

Mom: "I'm taking your computer away."
Dad: "You're ruining your eyes and your fingers will develop carpel tunnel." Mom: "GTFO my computer." Dad: "Don't you have homework? 50 pushups, now." Mom: "Stop watching T.V. go play a game or something." =.= |

Re: How do your parents feel about your playing SM/FFR?
They don't really bother me while I'm on the computer, but if they see me playing they're not bothered by it at all. They're used to me playing it by now.
They've watched me play a few times and the comments are usually just positive stuff like "wow..incredible'. Nothing negative.

Re: How do your parents feel about your playing SM/FFR?
My mom doesn't mind too much as long as I keep the sound fairly quiet, although sometimes she does get kind of ticked off if I play it too long. My dad thinks that it's a pretty cool hobby. Sometimes he'll ask me how I did on the song I just played or ask what certain thing in FFR mean like a AAA, FC, or other things.

Re: How do your parents feel about your playing SM/FFR?
My mom tells me to stop and just play DDR Extreme instead, even though, she likes hearing some of the music.
My dad thinks this is a waste of time, and lectures me about it. I end up leaving when he does that. My brother (at home) and my classmates (at school) try to make me mess up when I'm playing.

Re: How do your parents feel about your playing SM/FFR?
Usually when someone sees me play they say something along the lines of how silly it is that I actually put time into playing such a strange and silly game. Sometimes a comment is tossed about how 'great' I am, but then it is connected that to the fact that I spend far too much time playing it. I tell them other people are far better than me and can hit every single arrow perfectly in the hardest songs. Then I turn around and realize they've walked away.
But someday, my awesome talent will be realized and I will get all the chicks! Yup. Also, my mother loathes both the music and the TAKATAKATAKA noise, so the minute I start playing she gets the jump on me and tells me to mute it. I tell her it's a little hard to play a rhythm game without music then she tells me to get head phones. I get headphones and she starts flipping out when I don't respond to her because I can't hear anything. My sister is pretty interested in the game, she's played a few times but she never truly got into it. She was probably discouraged by my EXTREME SKILL. She thinks I'd make a good piano player if I tried hard enough. I tell anybody who says that to say the same thing to somebody who is good at guitar hero with respect to real guitar playing. I play piano though, I'm just not very good. |

Re: How do your parents feel about your playing SM/FFR?
Well i just started playing so I don't think my parents care too much. I play Heavy on DDR but this game is really different. I mean, duh you play with your fingers instead of your feet but these levels are a lot harder.

Re: How do your parents feel about your playing SM/FFR?
My parents have told me to stop because I'll break the keyboard, and because the keys make too much noise.
