Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Batch #1 complete)
Go look at his review for Robotomy. It is riddled with subjectivity and an obvious dislike to the song. He gave it a 1/10, which should not be possibly unless the file is offsync, which it clearly isn't. The rating was entirely unfair and not called for, so that should be sufficient reason to not be allowed to judge.
I know people are probably going to disagree with me, but given the facts, that's the way I see it.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Batch #1 complete)
You know, I don't know if this has ever been asked, but what makes a judge? What does one have to do to either get experience and or learn to judge anyways?

for once i think this is gonna be a positive nice post

1) you have to have at least 1 file in-game or in-queue 2) you have to have at least like 6mon of experience 3) you have to show you possess the ability to judge fairly and with as little personal bullshit as possible (this would be a sorta "after the fact" requirement. like a thing you could get kicked off for etc) that said I've yet to see a review from naialialai or whoever that I felt was actually well written and in all honesty their position as a judge does bother me, but I'm not gonna raise a stink about it because at the end of it all the way the judging process really works it's best not to get mad about shit and just keep resubmitting until you get it in lmao Quote:
I've done preliminary judging for mocher's FFRCP pack and a bit of judging for LCP in the past though so w/e anyway pce

And to be honest even if it's synced correctly a chart can still be such a train wreck it gets a one to me. But that's just my thoughts. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Batch #1 complete)
To give you an idea, I judge fairly strictly...
...but I still gave Robotomy a 7/10. The song is something else, yeah, but the notes for that particular file were uncalled for. Taking off for music choice is acceptable if the song is unprofessionally done, but the song is quite complex in its own right and would merit a pass, rather than a major deduction. Also, I vouch for Rog's simfiling ability, he knows what he's doing and would probably make a fine judge if he took it seriously. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Batch #1 complete)
Batches don't close. They're always open now.
But if you're talking about when the next 120 files are reviewed, that won't be until at least we get another 120 files! And of course, not until this current batch is finished. Things will slow down, because people's ability to submit files are limited by bi-monthly SAP (simfile artist points). |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Batch #1 complete)
I don't want robotomy on FFR because it isn't an FFR file. If I have to judge robotomy I won't be passing it and I'll be giving it a1/10 on the grounds that the song and file are not fit for FFR.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Batch #1 complete)
if that's the case then we should pull a bunch of files from FFR because they're not "fit for FFR"
whatever that means

@ kjwkjw: The process is going to slow speed up.

See I can agree with this. You aren't my favorite person by any means, but your personality has no effect on your judging capability. In fact, I loathe most of your charts in SM, and I still think you'd be an asset as a judge. They're just not my cup of tea to be fair. :3 Last edited by Xx{Midnight}xX; 05-6-2013 at 12:47 AM.. |

h4h4 jokez, funny guy (y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y). This is basically what I gathered out of Niala's review of Robotomy though.

Also just because a song can be stepped doesn't mean it should be
