Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
It's terrible, lmao. No offense to blu, but it's just not that great of a song for steps...especially FMO steps.

Wow yukari...
1) knoobish way to pwn. 2) i actually agree with stargroup and depending on how you look at what he said it isn't a contradiction. 3) i actually like stargroups files with the exception of bad hair day because it was annoying xD 4) he also does cool SM files IMO... 5) I don't know what makes a good stepfile anymore lol!

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
I tried my best with what the music gave me. Made it in about 3 hours.
What about it specifically do you not like? I like it. *shrugs* EDIT: In retrospect I probably should have ignored the synth and probably dumbed down the jumptrills and rolls but I like it the way it is. It's an odd simfile.

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
The only thing that really bugged me was the 32nd rolls with the jumptrills sandwiched in between and the ending burst.
They barely made any sense to my head as I listened for the music and tried to correlate it to the arrows I had to mash. And I said mash because there was no way for me to discern what was happening, so I just hammered keys, which I usually don't have to do. The rest of the song was just kind of meh. I did enjoy the middle of the song with the unusual 16th patterns going to the synth. That part was fun to play and made a lot of sense. And regarding FMO difficulty...it barely makes it in my opinion...could be a high VC. Do you think Dendrite V2 is harder than...say...Xtinction? Last edited by foilman8805; 08-21-2008 at 03:59 AM.. |

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
I thought Dendrite v2 was pretty fun. The rolls are tricky to PA.

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
Yeah, I know what you mean, they are a bit much.
The layering was mostly doubles to bass drum except in one section. So when there are BDs going to 16ths then 32nds I just did doubles into 32nd rolls. Plus jumptrills are cool, probably should have done (12)(34) jumptrills though. P.S. I can't combo the stream because I get lost in the repetativeness. : ( P.P.S. Nice AAA smartdude. P.P.P.S. I kind of agree, even though I can't combo it and parts I mash, it's overall VC. Taking the average of C and FMO.

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
It's definitely an FMO, the rolls are incredibly difficult and awkward, unlike the extremely straightforward rolls in X-tinction.
It was originally VC and then I changed it to FMO because it was extremely obvious to me. If I play a file 20 times or so and my best is 4 goods, it's not a VC.

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
Oh, you're banned? Thank god. Even better that it will be extended for your evasion. The last thing we all need is a
h u u u u u u u u u u u u u u u u u u u u u u u u u u u u u u u u u u u u u u g e post of your bull**** that actually goes for about 4 times that length about how you are right about everything and how everyone else is wrong. I mean I love to read them at laugh at your stupidity sometimes but other times it's as entertaining as playing one of your dump stepfiles which if you couldn't guess isn't very entertaining at all. Oh, and when you actually come back here so you can "wreck" me, please keep in mind that before you even post a: you're not really wrecking me you just think you're wrecking me b: you're looking like an asshat in the process c: you ARE an asshat so everything works out fine. Also, some guy named Knoobish made a series of quotes to me that I literally did not read because his name is Knoobish. I don't read things noobs post. Noobish people are in the same boat so sorry you wasted your time with that. Feel free to post another one though. Here I'll give ya some material. Knoobish is a dumb**** for wasting his time on that. Knoobish is going to make a fool of himself for listing a bunch of quotes only his buddies will read. Knoobish is a noob. Knoobish's PA file, 600 AD in Piano, ranks up there with the worst PA files on the site and I actually haven't finished a game of it because it's so bad (refreshed out at about 250 first and only time I played). There knock yerself out EDIT Here's one more thing to quote: smartdude1212's opinion is wrong OH WAIT I'M NOT STARGROUP FORGET I SAID THAT EDIT AGAIN I went back and read your post Knoobish man and let me tell you I lol'd, good job, I don't feel like I wasted my time reading that post because it was so ****in dumb that I actually lol'd. Please make another quotefest for me I'd love to lol again

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
All I can say is: Arguments with Stargroup = pointless. No one wins, no one looses, but always entertaining.
Played deadrite v2. Personally it sux and it doesn't make much sense. Not paying 7$ to have this song in my inventory either. Not worth the money and unless For Great Justice comes out with better DNB/Ambiant DNB songs, their albums aren't even worth 7$ either unfortunatly. Personally, this idea of paying money to have songs is a retarded idea. My mom is already on my case about going out lounging one night spending about 3110NT (About 60$ give or take) and personally, I hadn't gone out for five weeks before that. Easily my food bill was past 60$. I think my parents would freak if I was spending money on these support tokens. So if you are going to be doing this crap, that file better be epic, more epic than what the RF simfilest can do or else, dont waste you're money. Plus, you would profit more if you just sold the file for something low like 99 cents. Last edited by operationstrawbarry; 08-21-2008 at 03:48 AM.. |

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
Rhythm-wise, Dendrite v2 is fine. Pattern-wise, I liked it except for that FIRST burst--which was seemingly impossible for me to PA (Had it not been for the first burst, I would have AAAd. D: )--I don't know, if you are doing the roll as 16th jumps, it feels like you have to hit a jump jack to hit it right. Could be me.
But yeah, Blu, I absolute HATE the way you lay out some of your bursts. X.X *coughs*Integraation*coughs* Last edited by TC_Halogen; 08-21-2008 at 04:00 AM.. |
