I've still got a good year and a half to try and fine-tune my game for anything live. I'm a fairly stable player online, but I haven't played enough live games to do anything.

it'll definately be profitable. anyone willing to put up 1500 for an event in may just pm me to join in our team. we're gonna practice a lot for it.

Re: FFR poker league -ongoing-
I have to wait until next year sadly >_> I turn 21 in August. But my dad said for my 21st birthday he would pay for one of the events that isn't over $2,500.
But I am planning on doing a $600 tourney here next month. There are going to be a few pros that will be here such as Mike Matusow, Micheal Mizrachi, Adam Levy and Karina Jet. It's going to be awesome. So if I do well in that, I might do that $1500 one you were talking about Lump. |

In due time though. As I've mentioned before, I'm still continuously honing in on my strengths and weaknesses. It's better to know where you're strong and where you're weak before trying to jump the gun. |

Re: FFR poker league -ongoing-
Not a tourney player, so not really interested.
Hating poker lately anyway. Coming off my hottest like 20k hand heater I've ever experienced, I cashed out most of my winnings and have a lot of money sitting around. Re-deposited some and I swear the doom switch has been activated. I think I'm down like, nearly 30 bi now across the last 10k hands and I need a serious break since I've just about depleted my redeposit. In a game I have a like 200k hand sample in with a 4.5bb/100 win rate. No idea what's happening lmao. It's just been some freaky weird rigged shit lately. I mean, I had the weirdest thing that has ever happened to be in my entire poker career happen to me a few days ago. I had like 10 tables going, and during a hand I was dealt AA on two of them and KK on two others. I got KK all in pre-flop on both, both against AA! Lost both. My AA ended up in both situations in 3 bet pots, all-in on flop, both players showed overs and both hit on the river. Unbelievable! I mean, I've been reviewing in HEM to see if it's something I'm doing but it doesn't look like I'm leaking. I'm actually playing quite good, I've been losing the minimum everywhere. Just sick sick sickness

I don't think anyone here has the roll to stake a 10k buy in though. Quote:
This is largely because you can't rebuy, and the hand sample is very, very small to the point of being almost entirely meaningless. If someone busts you in a cash game you just reload and play more hands, or well, lose more :P Given the hand sample, the only reason pros have any sort of edge at all in tourneys is because of the donks. You should definitely have lots of live experience spotting donks before entering a donkament, since the goal, particularly early on, is mostly just to small ball the idiots at your table (unless you get a horrendously bad draw :P )

Re: FFR poker league -ongoing-
god i love playing deep stack 1/2 3 handed for 6 hours. won and lost some big ones last night. middle set (plo) held against aces/nfd for ~$450. two late nights in a row so i cant really remember many hands from last night which is a shame.

yeah was pretty much joking, my uncle is a multimillionaire but we're not too close with him so he wouldn't spot me for the main event. i have it but it would be putting all my money in one tourney not a good move. i can spot donks live it's pretty obvious after a few trips around the table who the donks, sharks, and nits are. |

Re: FFR poker league -ongoing-
ya... 1/2 live clears things up reeeeeeeeal quick. the few times ive played 2/4 / 2/5 it was pretty apparent too. at the 1/2 games that got bumped up to 2/5 it was so obvious who was uncomfortable playng that high

Re: FFR poker league -ongoing-
You're comfortable playing 5/10? Do you have a like 30k + BR or are you just a baller? 8)
I'm bad for using a portion of my roll for income, so I only count a certain portion of my available roll as actual roll, and I use strict BRM, so you'll never catch me playing full buy in higher than 1/2. Might catch me playing 2/4 if I saw a bunch of drunk retards playing, but that's about it. When I stop hating poker, I might try taking stabs at 1/2 online again with very strict stop loss, but aggressive scaling as well and see if I can move up to 2/4, 3/6 and 5/10++ on a heater. Last time I tried this I ran uber bad once I hit 2/4 and moved back down to 1/2 and eventually to 0.25/0.5, but it's probably worth a try again. If I actually make it to 10/20, I'll probably stop before going to 25/50. There's no way I'm profitable that high, and I'm not XWINKX, so :P (Nobody, other than maybe isildur, is going to run a NLHE heater to several million. Only in Omaha, and Omaha makes my blood boil so it's out of the question 8) ).

ya omaha heaters are Way Exponentially greater than holdem heaters... lump; youre a sick sick man... i know of one 5/5 (4 nights a week, one night 5/5 with 10 dollar winner straddle; straddle comes on sporadically if table wants it on other nights) and one 5/10 game in raleigh, and id definitely be comfortable sitting in the 5/5; it's 500 min 1k max and supposedly it gets real deep and it's real soft. the 5/10 however is another matter entirely. i'll play 1/2 any day but even if i had the money to do it id never sit a dime at 5/10 with my skill level. this is of course a lie because im a freaking junkie but im drunk enough to admit im not confident enough in my game yet 8) and slightly delirious, been awake since 8pm last night weeeeeee 1/2/5 8 or better tmrw morning Lettttttssss Gooooo |
