Re: First Official FFR StepCon
Hey guys, where exactly did you ever see me say anything about a DQ? Oh hey I didn't.
Either way it would be appreciated that cuts were not just posted because it also promotes laziness in the people that are capable. If someone needed a cut that badly and couldn't do it because they didn't know how or didn't have the program all they had to do was ask. Aj and myself would have helped with cuts as well and if there were more than one person make different cuts. |

Cool it, the point was I'm the one running the event so why would you listen to someone who isn't?

Re: First Official FFR StepCon
you know what, gonna make this post now
Kayla is running the event, so yeah, I overstepped my bounds in saying that you'd get DQ'd. in my opinion, everyone seeking a cut from someone else should be DQ'd because IN TECHNICALITY you are using the audio cut from someone else which makes it a collaborative effort regardless of what you think everyone who is whining about the song and then actually goes out of their way to take a song cut from someone else is lazy; I don't care if they put it for public use - you're trying to weasel your way through a contest that was meant to promote difference in interpretations, that's why everything was left uncut but yeah, I really shouldn't expect different because people don't really want to try. I got stuck with a song that I didn't want to chart but you all don't see me whining and complaining about how the song isn't easy to chart or how repetitive it is or whatever - I actually play around with things and cut songs whenever necessary... hell, i'm still trying to chart my song and I have four different charts for one area of the song because I'm still messing with things it's also pretty pathetic that you guys are ragging about what tokens are more elusive or whatnot - TWWW should be more elusive because it actually does something different from the other tokens (regardless of the quality), and Freedom Dive is something that hi19 wanted out for a while (wrong thread, still rant worthy) i'm done ranting, you guys are pretty stupid. peace. edit: @ ~Zero~: I don't care if people come up with the same idea in cutting; they're being lazy if they take your cut rather than committing to their own, because cutting can also lead to error for those that don't know how to do it - you're essentially eliminating that factor from competition Last edited by TC_Halogen; 10-17-2012 at 06:26 PM.. |

Re: First Official FFR StepCon
Enough from everyone on this. There was never anything technically in the rules stating that someone else's cut couldn't be used but it would be appreciated if you guys would use your own creative ideas for cuts as well as in charting. I thought I had made this clear already, but maybe I hadn't. Sorry for the confusion but please unless I say something about a DQ or whatever, don't freak out about it.

I don't like Linkin Park type music. Ugh, I knew this would happen to me too... i'd get the one genre I hate.

Re: First Official FFR StepCon
Plus it's kinda pointless to be worrying about a StepCon file when the batch is around the corner anyway.
