Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
I just stopped playing about 10 minutes ago and I was getting spurts of lag. Don't know if it led up to complete lag.

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
Songs were taking three or four minutes to load and I couldn't ever get a completely lagless run in.

EDIT: cut off for d5 is 5-0-0-1 already, I sense the need to improve my 4 clean

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
edit: I'm actually quite surprised at how low the cutoff for D2 is right now. I'd have thought that ending js with jumpjacks would hurt

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
I'm pretty much done with Nous until the night of. I have never, ever done well with files that had parts mirrored throughout the entire thing. It's something that I have a tendency to get mindblocks with. Really sucks that I'm probably gonna go out because of the very beginning mirrors (I mean the js parts, not the 32nds. I can deal with the 32nds if i could just be consistent again with the beginning...) Literally I mindblocked the **** out of the beginning parts. turning mirror on and off isnt working for me anymore. I think I'll wait to play it until the last night or so and see if i cleared the mindblocks. Otherwise it was nice knowing you guys, D4...ALTHOUGH I REALLY ****ING WANTED VROFL NOW I GOTTA 1BIL 1DAY FUUUUUUU
Any pointers anyone could possibly give for the beginning js? |

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
Yes, watch for when the arrow enters the arrow receptors on the top of the screen (assuming you're playing upscroll), and press the corresponding key you have mapped to that arrow. Hope that helps good luck

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
Actually, whether j-rodd realized it or not, there's real merit to that statement. A lot of people don't actually look near those receptors and simply assume when the arrows are going to match to the receptors, based on their anticipation of the music. I'll tell you now, be more conscious of when those arrows meet the receptors. A lot of apparent "random goods" occur with the wrong assumption that you're hitting the arrows on time. Don't look far past the receptors and then you'll know for sure when you need to hit those arrows.

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
wow i just realized how trolly my statement sounded lmao, i meant that when im mindblocked at a part instead of watching the judgement (where i usually watch) i focus on the receptors :S

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
LOL oops! It literally sounded like you meant "lol hit da arrows." Hokay, so, I got it now. Thanks for the tip x3
Edit: thanks for helping clear that up too, bmah, thanks for your supportive tips. I'll give it a try another day (for that song) mainly because I'm burned out on it. |

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
First off I'd like to thank whoever placed me back into the tournament, thank you so much!
But I'm faced with a problem here - I was removed and I assumed I was gone for good. I also got no replies about me making a video and such.. so I just spent the whole week on SM instead of FFR (sulking over FFR is sad~). And then I came back to play my Division 3 song since I was planning to follow the tournament, and found out I was placed back into Division 4! I already sent nois-or-e a message about this, but I got no notifications or indications that I was still in the running in Division 4 instead of Division 3. Could I please have a second shot at Division 4? I got 1-0-1-1 on Flamingo but I didn't bother to try again since I wasn't removed from the tournament at that point.. Give me a second chance! Thanks~ |
