Re: ODIPack3 submissions (it's happening!)
Not check the forum for 2 months, come back and see a thread like this. I'm impressed something like this is being put together and has gained steam.
I have one or two completed unreleased simfiles, but they're not anything special imo. For released files I have TGWPv2, but that is likely dull in the minds of people at this point. I will try to make something actually worthwhile. It's just hard to find music anymore Last edited by Rebirth0; 03-21-2013 at 02:44 AM.. |

Re: ODIPack3 submissions (it's happening!)
There is a Skype room that was made for this pack to organize collabs, playtesting, etc. I can add you to it if you want, and somebody in there could find you some music to step.

Re: ODIPack3 submissions (it's happening!)
@kommi
didnt step percussion in the very beginning other than the snare to focus on the guitar and piano. for 156 i kept it as just 8ths to keep it simple same with 191.

Re: ODIPack3 submissions (it's happening!)
LOLHARP5000 (revision)
haha ok lol there has been a misunderstanding here, i wanted you to step the bursts which would end up in color note bursts, not just make the freezes green . take a look at this and resubmit it and i'll accept. if it becomes too stupid, we'll just keep the freezes as they were before but i think it'll be good, you could also make 2 difficulties it might be cool Fashion queen it's much too easy for this pack. seemed fairly accurately made for most part but you just never get into the groove of the song when playing because there are so far between the arrows :P. the only way i can see this being any fun would be to layer the crap out of it but then it would probably be hard to follow and if you wouldn't use freezes (which is gay when there are lots of arrows) it would probably still be fairly easy. this could be accepted after a major revision i guess but i don't see much hope for it, it's so long too so it'll be really hard to make it a fun file Shipoopi lol. funny, it actually became more fun and interesting than i thought it would towards the end. it's too slow though and the first half of it just has way too few arrows it wasn't very much fun at all. the second half is a lot more fun but still it's pretty simple and not challenging in a fun way. The super coke ok that was really cool actually. it has a few major problems, the beginning needs to be cut out because it's boring and pretty gay with those 12th freezes and stuff, there's not much happening and what does happen isn't that much fun. there's also a few parts with just a million 8ths, while i like the layering it's still just too much 8ths and it's the kind of the stuff that will make people not wanna play this file again because it's a marathon. the mines in the middle and end are cool for most part but take them out when there were 16ths, it's gonna be so annoying to lose your score on a marathon to mines like that, also something that removes the file's replay-value completly. also there are too many rolls, i would get rid of most of them, the cool trick that they sometimes are in this file completly gets taken away because they are overused. especially in the 12ths part where they could just still have been 12ths which wouldn't have been too amazing actually but pretty cool, now i dont remember what the song was like there but if any layering could be done i would enjoy that a lot more. To summarize, song needs a lot of cutting, some parts need to be more eventful (but most of them should be cut out), some mines need to go, a lot of the rolls need to go. i absolutely wanna accept this after a pretty substantial revision Time out (revision) FDGAGAG ADGAGAEH YEEEEEEEEEEEE the second half of the file from 900combo-end YEEEEEEAH. fucking great. a few things, the beginning has a bad flow, it's ok because the rest of the file is so sick, but improve it if you can. there were a few 12th hands pretty early, seemed like they should be some weird color note stuffy, there was a 16th stream i think somewhere after 1000 combo which seemed pretty off and that it should be a bunch of color notes? one long 24th stream felt weird too but maybe it was good (it was towards the end, before the awesome crazy hands-stream). i LOVE how the file gets progressively harder and more amazing, the last minute is so intense! i will have Kommi look at it in the editor again as well. ==karma-fied== great. i was very sceptical listening to the preview music, just as i was with planet karma back then lol. i played the first part and really disliked it actually, but then i got to the second part and it was supercool, and the third part ruled as well and now i knew the file was gonna be just as cool as planet karma! it has some issues though since the file is so long and shouldn't be that hard to get a close-to-AAA score on for many, it's very important that it has a more consistent level of difficulty, there are a few spots that are almost unhitable which destroys the replay-value of the file, this was something that was very good about planet karma and needs to be for this file as well. the beginning jack needs to be a trill. the beginning freezes are cool trick but start more apart, it's gay. actually i know you will absolutely not wanna do this, but the file will be a lot better with the first part completly cut out. more freezes in the second or third part being were too packed together, it was annoying to read. great mine-usage except for the last part which was gay, mines are good there but there are too many of them. the 48th burst needs to be just regular rolls so it can be mashed easily, or it ruins the replay-value of the file. the part towards the end with the left and right minifreezes absolutely needs to be layered, that and the beginning was the only parts of the file that were boring, the jacks stream is cool though, but it started with a few 32nds on the left hand that absolutely should've been a pattern for both hands instead. great job, revise it and it'll be another smash hit file just like planet karma.

Re: ODIPack3 submissions (it's happening!)
Ah well, was certainly a shot.
... Hmm... maybe I'll send... that instead... Sure, I'll do try number 2 and see how you like this particular song in comparison. That Folklore file is pretty lonely. |

Re: ODIPack3 submissions (it's happening!)
Alright, and Folklore of Post-Modern Man has been sent.
It's definitely the "hardest" file I've ever made while trying to maintain fun factor. |
