Re: FFR Scores
RATO was a one-in-a-lifetime file. Files like that won't be accepted again.

Nobody is going to pass anything like Dear Arch, nobody is going to AAA something like Death Piano either, but there will definitely be good PA scores on them (ieat's death piano PA, etc) |

Re: FFR Scores
Another good score. For some reason my PA has been at a standstill on FFR for over a month, yet my MA is improving very fast in SM. I don't understand that.
~Bynary Fission EDIT: Got another nice one. EDIT2: FINALLY. This song is such a pain in the ass to AAA - been trying for a while to get this one.

I mean, AAA of the whole thing is obviously out of the question but it would be interesting to see how well people can do on it in a year's time

Re: FFR Scores
Some 10 year old prodigy kid is gonna come in and take over this arrow game while AAAing every song. I wouldn't be surprised if that happened.

Re: FFR Scores
They are both stamina draining, but DP is harder to FC because of those long ass jump jacks.

Re: FFR Scores
Finally can call this my best FC.
Good for me I'd say, I've been working on this song for days now.. P.S. I have to mash the beginning bit with the light blue arrows, and the ending bit with the same, so thats where all the averages and boos come from. EDIT: All you guys were talking about RATO, and me being a noob had to go look it up, then I felt like playing it to see the hype even thought its FGO and I can only pass a few FGOs. This is a sightread, even though it has a "Your Best Rank" I think I just left it logged in at a friends house or something, he likes to mash on FMOs and FGOs. Speaking of mashing, thats pretty much what I did...

I remember when this file came out, I used to fail it so hardcore. So I'm just posting this for nostalgia's sake.

Re: FFR Scores
Patashu: Eh, even Planet Karma a few years ago would be easy to me. I've been playing Stepmania for far too long -- nothing looks absurdly difficult in terms of readability in FFR. Something like RATO... is just too difficult to even come close to AAA'ing imo, even for future generations. DP could be AAA'd if you memorized the song and took it piece by piece until you figured out an optimal way to do it (this assumes you could even AAA the trill at the end). You'd have to play it thousands upon thousands of times. What killed my PA on that song was the ending jumpgluts. If I could read those better I'd have a MUCH better score.
Think of it like... Max300. If you've played that song as many times as I have, you have it down to pure muscle memory by now. Even if you jack up the actual rate-speed, you don't even really NEED to be able to read it. You just *do* it. I think the same logic applies to the DP ending gluts. If you have it memorized in your muscles, you just do it.

Re: FFR Scores
Agreed, but my point is that memorization removes the reading=>execution issues that occur in difficult sections because there's no lag between interpretation and moving -- it's just pure moving, and that is often necessary to match certain speeds.
Alternatively, figure out what parts of the jumpglut section you CAN do, and mash what you can't.

Re: FFR Scores
Nice, I can guarantee everyone could easily AAA every part of that song in sections but the song is so long it's hard not to mess up
