it's times like this that make it clear that 5 days per round are too long. as this thread died 24 hours ago, apart from the 1 mental clue... which could have then been added along with a new round after 3 days.

so now you have 48 hours of dead time before the next round, where people may lose interest or forget about the tournament by the time a new round is posted.

We can post the next round but it will cause the tourney to go longer than the previously planned amount of rounds. If that is ok with you I can have kjwkjw give me his stuff so we can post a new round by tomorrow. Do you mind another round being added?

i don't see the correlation between time of rounds and number of rounds... you aren't required to have a tournament go a specific length of time. but, if you feel that having shorter rounds needs longer amount of rounds, i don't mind. so long as the quality of the rounds is not compromised. you need to have games that are at least as good (refrain from comment) and mentals that are at least as good (ditto).

lol. no. not particles OR red.

what i look for in games.... stuff that has some kind of replayability. games that are overly long and overly repetitive. also games that have controls that do what they're supposed to do. dropple wasn't bad... controls were kinda annoying, and 50 levels was a bit long, but it was a decent game. stuff like galactic warrior and snake are over-done, boring, repetitive, and have low replay value.

stuff like WHG and ImpQuiz... ehh. *shrugs* i'm just not a fan of those types of games, either one of them. Games that are made overly hard for the sake of being overly hard.

no issue with either coolioniato game. i'd say that your game selection has been decent, overall. not amazing, but not awful. better than house's. round 2 was the low point in your game selection.

uhm. this 5 day makes it so I actually have time to do HW. 3 day rounds means no HW time for me (which is bad cause finals are coming up)

That has been my strategy all through high school.

me too. since i never payed attention anyway. things i did in high school:
-read books. many many many books.
-play games on TI-82, TI-83, TI-85, TI-86, and/or Palm V.
-do homework for next class
-sleep

who cares. i have terrible writing 95% of the time... most people can't read it. i can't read it sometimes. but if i actually try to write, i can write quite clearly and legibly... i just write about 50% as fast.

i'm a very fast writer, but the appearance lacks greatly. faster i write, the worse it looks. *shrugs*. with some teachers, that doesn't really matter. if they can't read it, they'll just assume you know what you're talking about and give you an A. that is, going off the basis that you've proven you're not a retard in the first place. then again, i also had a teacher give me a D on an essay exam because they couldn't read it. i had to stay after class to read it to them. at which point, i got an A. also had an english teacher... 8th grade... who had such a hard time reading my writing (and 2 other kids in my class) that she forced us to take our essay exams on computers in the classroom, while everyone else was writing them on paper.

I understand how HW causes problems. I am in school right now. I just got on to escape the essay I have to write by tomorrow. I have to give a speech. =( o well. I still have 4 A+'s and 4 A's. I do fine in school and get a crap load of FFR time in. kjwkjw hasn't messaged back. I think I will do this. Everyone that is an active participant, pick 1 game you want in the next round. I will pick from those games. Pick wisely. And remember, I choose the scoring. =)

....no? pick games yourself dude... it's not really fair otherwise. i could pick games that i know jon/commander have no shot of doing, games that i've already done. like SCGMD2 or 3... and i know they have no shot of tying my scores.
